Had dinner on a weekday evening and it was pretty quiet and cosy. The service is attentive and polite. For the food, the slow-braised straw beef ribs was just out of the world! I’m generally not a fan of braised meat but this one was very enjoyable. I also loved the signature combination and the salted fish fried rice. Not all the dishes were a hit but those that I’ve mentioned are good enough for me to return again :)

Brought my parents for dim sum and we had the dim sum set. Most of the items were hits while just one or two were slightly too salty on the palette. Food aside, the service from Benjamin & team was excellent. He kept us regularly updated about the status of food items, was very personable yet professional at the same time. We greatly appreciate his attentiveness to us during our meal & our experience was made memorable because of the service rendered. Thank you Benjamin & team!

Wasn't too easy getting a reservation for the weekend dim sum buffet, not that you can get one coming weekend but usually a few weekends later. I didn't understand until I visited the restaurant that there wasn't many tables in the restaurant. There were quite a lot of things to order from the dim sum menu, but it was kinda disappointing because the dimsum selection was pathetic. There were more dishes you could order and hence there wasn't any satisfaction if the main purpose was to have dim sum. Don't get me wrong though, the food was good. I guess they should really just rename it to a weekend lunch buffet to save the disappointment from guests like me. Food was good and the portion was made based on the number of guests at the table. Price wise was also reasonable and worth the money.

An elegant restaurant with attentive wait staff. The food was delicious and the service wasn't lacking. A special shout out to Chin Chin who was serving our table. She was lowkey funny and very attentive even though she also seemed busy with the other tables. The sweet potato dessert was to die for and i will definitely come back again just to take another bite. I also like their beancurd and wasabi prawns. Given that this restaurant has a michelin star, the expensive price is fairly justifiable. The only drawback is that we were not allowed to eat our birthday cake in the restaurant. Overall positive experience.

Poor dining experience at Man Fu Yuan for Christmas dim sum buffet lunch. The restaurant is understaffed. It took quite a while for the food to be prepared and served. As a Michelin recommended restaurant and ~$80 per pax, we expect the food quality to be of a higher standard. Unfortunately it is not the case. Most of the dim sum and mains are below par, even worse than local neighborhood dim sum/ zichar stall. For instance, prawns in Har Gau are super salty and not fresh. Siu Mai tastes very dry and worse than hawker center ones. Grouper fish are coated with too much flour and wasted. Poor examples can go on and on with more misses than hits. Overall a waste of money with this embarrassing food standard. I wish to give them 1 star instead for the food standard. 1 more star is added for the good service from the staff despite they are short handed.

Please. Stop. Serving. Dim Sum. I celebrated my birthday here just before the pandemic and had the best memories of the quality of the dim sum and service. I lived in HK and I do know a thing or two about dim sum. Today, I brought an elderly relative who is Cantonese and is a discerning eater. We left totally upset. I have never seen dim sum in a fine-dining restaurant that is this coarse. The only saving grace (hence, the 1-star) is the professionalism of the server serving our table. 1. Spare Ribs, yam and bean sauce: Very salty. We need to order a bowl of rice to accompany it. 2. Prawn, and Pork Siew Mai, scallop, black caviar: The siew mai alone tasted hard and the prawn in it was barely visible. The scallop topping it was an overcooked thin sliver. What a waste of caviar topping. 3. Bean curd skin roll, prawns, wasabi mayonnaise: rather large size ...at least u can see the prawns but average tasting. 4. Cantonese honey-glazed BBQ pork pastry: It's a large piece but the pastry is thick and coarse. 5. XO Wok-fried radish cake XO chilli sauce : This dish completely negates the wonderful memory of what this restaurant used to serve. The XO sauce saved this dish. 6. Minced pork congee, century egg: The consistency is good but it is not tasty. Worst, the minced pork balls tasted like sandpaper. Chef, you need to add more corn starch AND egg white into it....so that it doesn't taste like sandpaper. Taught by my late Cantonese grandmother. 7. Char Siew Cheong Fun: Took a bite and returned it to the kitchen. It tasted like overnight Cheong Fun. I complained about #2 nd #7......the young chef (aargh! they changed their chef!) appeared and they took this off the bill. We then had the coconut jelly as our dessert. Nice presentation but really nothing much to shout about. Even the sweetness of this dessert did not take away our great dissatisfaction. Sorry, MFY, despite the nice plating and good service, your dim sum really CMI. The standard is even worse than Canton Paradise and some of the coffee shop chefs who helmed from restaurants. Even after narrowing the repertoire of dim sum offering, still CMI. Please stop charging this kind of prices for such sub-standard quality.

This is an established Cantonese restaurant in Hotel Inter-Continental and my 3rd time visiting it in a while. I ordered mostly Chef Recommendation dishes this time - Smoke Duck, NZ Beef Cubes in Black Pepper Sauce, Sautéed Scallops with Abalone, Asparagus in XO sauce, Lobster in egg floss and Yu Fu Noodle. We also had Glutinous Dumplings in Coconut cream and Mango Sago with Peach Collagen. The dishes were served hot when they arrived and we enjoyed them very much. Nothing to complaint about. Beef is tender and goes well with rice. The Yu Fu noodle is braised in thick stock in very authentic Cantonese style. We also didn’t expect the scallops to be so big and thick and they were cooked soft and flavourful, unlike normal scallops. The lobsters are also cooked Cantonese style and drizzled with some special sauce. Finally, the service is very attentive and responsive. We enjoyed the dinner very much. $$$$.

We ordered the following dishes: 1. Har Gow Har gow was a disappointment. For a higher than average price tag, we were expecting more. however, the prawn dumpling tasted really flat in terms of textures and flavours. We would suggest skipping this dish and save your calories for other dishes 2. Vegetarian eefu mee Best dish out of all our orders. Well executed. Flavourful yet not greasy. 3. Soup of the day Really light in flavours and refreshing. Perfect dish after a heavy meal. Portion is small for the 18 sgd price tag. 4. Long jing tea roasted duck Skin is really crispy, but meat is slightly tougher than we expected. Overall: For a high price tag, we were expecting more. I would say that most dishes tasted slightly above average. In my opinion, it’s not worth the price, although we really like the services .
