Can't comment about food because I didn't even have the chance to try. Made a reservation for Sunday at 1.30pm.
Basically went up to the counter and the staff said not open because her bike broke down and she opened the business late. While I understand that this was an unfortunate circumstance, I think at least a small apology for the inconvenience should be there in place. After all, the honoured timing is already fixed. Staff just presented a nonchalant attitude and told us to come back at 2.30pm. Service standards really questionable.
And of course, I won't bother to come again.

Great food at great price in the heartland. Chef did the steak and chicken really well. Fresh ingredients.

Was at the amk outlet. Steak is not good, skip it. Chicken dish is good, a pity it's not my order. One man show is not enough, no one clears the plates, cutleries are not that clean and not enough. Not child friendly as well. It's more a convenient place for meals in between games since it's located at a snooker and pool and 24hour game shop.

The Grumpy Bear @ AMK is a Western Food Cafe located in the heartland of Ang Mo Kio. Quietly hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the community, this joint is snugged right outside the Play United Cyber Cafe and Darts Hive. Food is single and decent. Chicken Chop comes with shoe string fries. Portion was enough, and the mushroom sauce was palatable. Generous portion of rocket salad. Seated might be limited in view of the location. Staff was friendly and efficient.

The place was really hard to find, but once u found it, it's easy to get there. Jus up the lift right beside the S11 coffeeshop.
Booked under eatigo and with 30% off was a brilliant steal.
Food was yummy, on top of fabulous price.
The Grumpy Bear is with a internet N games Cafe, cum snooker bar.
That's perhaps.. The only thing tt is a bit off..

Western Cafe at value for money prices. Location is slightly hidden, you have to take the elevator located near the coffee shop up to the 3rd floor to find it.

I visited Grumpy Bear multiple of times. The chicken salad is my favourite dish because the flavour is rich and the chicken is juicy. I would recommend this dish to all :)

Have visited this place about 3 times already. The food is very affordable with decent portions for the mains (the pastas are a bit small). Combined with the promos, it's excellent value for the money!

This is my first visit, the mushroom soup is rich in flavour and delicious! Will strongly recommend the Atlantic Salmon fillet if u love salmon especially it comes with a special lemon sauce that go with it, yummy! Ribeye steak too, never ate with such delicious mushroom sauce before too. Lastly, the fries! It looks just like any normal fries but surprisingly, is tasty!

Was excited to visit this cafe after reading many good reviews! Food is indeed good! We had the lamb chop, rib-eye steak and mushroom soup. Their fries were crispy and well-salted too! Food was all on point. Would love to come back for the food but unfortunately, I probably wouldn't because of the service I received. The staff were unfriendly. Felt like an unwanted guest in their cafe.
We were the only patrons at that time and when we were leaving, the staff looked us in the eye, looked away and continued their work without even acknowledging us or saying "bye". The entire ordering process also felt very unwelcoming. If not for the good reviews I read about their food, I would have definitely left already. Also, the presentation of their food can be improved. The staff did not clean the outside of the bowls of our mushroom upon serving. All the drizzles and spillage were still there.

One of the cafes with better food around in Singapore! All of our food were great and better than what we expected. Not one is bad or average. Staff were really nice and sincere. Thank you all for the pleasant experience. Will definitely be back for more and would recommend to others 👍🏻

Had a pleasant experience today. My friends and I ordered the pork loin, it was tender and well marinated in savory spices and blends well with the apple sauce it's served with. Really recommend first-timers to try this!

The pork � and chicken � chop are properly cook, juicy and tender, tea can be refill, salted caramel ice cream has lots of nut inside, much tasty then other ice cream specialist stall. Great food, value for money.
