Pleasant service crew who were quick to welcome us into the restaurant. Very pro active in clearing our dishes once observed to be ready for clearance.
Food quality was average , unfortunately!
Beef slices in Niku udon was one of the most awful I’ve had, in terms of texture and presentation. Beef tasted rubbery and not of typical Japanese quality . They were thick, tasted like they’ve been overlooked, or cooked way before my order was sent to the kitchen.
Prolly the last time I will visit sakae in a long while.

Food quality is above average. Serving portion is huge and very filling for most. It not a very big shop at a corner of the mall, so its not too crowded at time. Service is quite okay & effecient. Pricing is slightly steep though. However, still an overall nice quiet place to dine in. 4 stars for them 😆

Well, the fish is fresh and good, and the special creations are quite interesting flavour-wise (wasn't expecting parmesan on eel maki) but the chirashi are bland (a lot of rice, a poor portion of fish) and everything is too expensive for what it is. The outlet itself is not very nice and the staff isn't friendly. You can find hundreds of better and cheaper Japanese food joints - this one is good if you're in a hurry or too tired to go anywhere else.

Already dined here for afew times. Food quality is great, considerably better than other outlets. Portion are good and filling too. But somehow, we always get a wrong order for our 3 visits. 1st 2 visits thought we ordered wrongly so brushed it off. 3rd mistake involve beef so we spoke to the staffs. They’re more than willing to do a replacement for us! Thumbs up and highly

Soothing, calming, relaxing. Great for single eaters. Love it. Doubles or small groups would also love it. I kind of like their grilled yakitori donburi and the robot that brings the food directly to u when u order. Do try the sake too. :) Btw dont use the wet tissue if u dont wanna pay extra 30 cents and rmb to tell them that you didnt use it.

Food was so so as you would expect from this chain restaurant. This was the first time I've seen the robot serving tray in a Sakae branch. I was actually quite amused by it.

As a vegetarian I do not seek out Sushi places. Discovered that Sakae Sushi had a few vegetarian options, which made us visit. First time experience with iPad ordering, picking up a plate off the conveyor belt and automated trolleys delivering ordered dishes. Service was skow, we asked a few times for our drinks to be served. (Service comment can be generalized to most places across Singapore!)

Really bad sashimi. Not fresh and tastes really fishy. I love salmon sashimi but this time, I had to force myself to finish it. Almost puked when I tried the ikura roe. Yes it's that bad. The price of the food here is simply unreasonable and unjustifiable considering the quality of the food.
