Something spicy? The Peranakan cuisine can satisfy your crave for spiciness. Curry fish head is good but somehow the kitchen didn’t prepare too well by not removing the scale properly. The itek kind of too sweet in my opinion, beef rendang was great! The curry scallop is as good but rather expensive ! Service is kind of less attentive being only a few tables last night they have to attend to. They even made my lime juice wrongly.. with no added syrup! I have to stand up a few times to waive for attention to get my rice and water.. The taste is kind of difference from the shop at Tiong Bahru which is much better. However, there’s a promotion in Capitol branch now so you can give it a try.

Food here's alright but nothing to write home about. The service is quite good though and tbh it's a very quiet and comfortable place for lunch and to chat in the middle of City Hall so that's also a plus point! The ayam buah keluak is the best fish, crayfish was good too. Avoid the otah and I would also skip the pork. Drinks are quite light such as pandan lemongrass etc. The lychee tea was the strongest.

Nice restaurant and authentic Peranakan foods.
The dishes you must try Scallop, Crayfish, Itek Sioh, Ayam Buah Keluak, Bakwang Kepiting and Curry fish head. After dinning, taking a bowl of Durian Chedol and a piece of Ubi Kayu is nothing better than.
Come on Thursday and Sunday for the freshest foods

Not too expensive and really tasty! We got the buah keluak chicken, the sambal long beans, and the itek sioh. Highly recommend them all.
Ambiance: in a mall, next to the fountain, so quite nice to sit there and eat

Peranakan influence cooking. Fish head curry, prawn in crispy cup & sambal udang are the more traditional one. Chicken curry with keluwak, capcay & sayur lodeh are more like a twist. Nevertheless the food taste good. They also serve chezc type microbrewy beer, quite impressive indeed.

When I was there, t was passed the peak lunch hour so it wasn't very crowded inside.
They have some old items they have on display in the restaurant.
I had a ginger lemon grass drink which was quite refreshing.
My wife had this chicken curry set.
For me, it was the assam curry fish set.
The vegetable portion was not quite tasty. The soup was OK. Even the fish and chicken was not fantastic. An OK meal but bit costly. Maybe not going back soon. There are other choices around anyway.

Our family frequents this place usually when we host our overseas friends :) Great food for sharing!

Thought I will be experiencing one of the best peranakan food in Singapore but I was deeply disappointed. Was there on 1st May which is a public holiday but there were only 2 service staff and 1 chef in the kitchen. The waitress who takes our order told us they dont have chicken and beef today. So I couldn't order their ayam buakalak and beef rendan. We ordered the curry fish head instead but the food is not piping hot. The sambal udang (prawns) are not fresh. But I give credit to their asam babi which is savoury. Their nonya chapchye was a big disappointment...cold and tasteless.
Sigh...so disappointed. Will probably not return.
