Bought a butterfly fritter for breakfast and it TASTE HORRIBLE. The fritter was so hard and thin, just look at the picture, it even breaks into 2 when I hold it.
The guy who took my order is very bad too. There's a few freshly fried butterfly fritter in the front but he choose to pick this old and hard one for me. Never visit this stall again. Even for chwee kueh I will never support them too.

Like all the other franchise Jian Bo stalls, this tastes the same as what you'd get from Tiong Bahru market. Maybe the attitude may not be the same, maybe the amount may not be the same, but we thoroughly enjoyed our chwee kueh supper nonetheless.
The chai por has always been pretty consistent, which I thoroughly appreciate. The chwee kueh makes for a great drunk food.

We are regular at Tiong Bahru & Nex stalls. Visited the stall at Compass One to get some today. Was served by an elderly lady and her attitude was unbelievable! She asked us what we want, so my husband took a look at the menu above him for a sec, the next moment she just walked off!!! She practically waited for less than 3 secs before she just walked off to the back of the stall and started washing stuffs at the sink! Unbelievable attitude!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Just to add to the low reviews here, I think the franchiser need to take note of this outlet:
poor service in the form of instructions not followed:
- requested for no chilli but it was added,
- more Cai po but 10 out of 10 times the Cai po is insufficient for 10 kueh,
- the staff seems uninterested or simply rude on replying, this is not always the case but frequent enough to observe this behaviour
On the core product which is the shui kueh, people like the kueh to have a good spread of Cai po to go along with it. However each time we order 10 kueh and requested for more Cai po (cos it was always insufficient to even thinly spread on each of the 10 kueh), this request is always (10 out of 10 times) intentionally ignore!
This lead me to go around the "system" to only order 8 instead of 10. This is because with 8 kueh the Cai po is more manageable and will leave us happier as a consumer.
The picture below shows that I order 10 keuh and scrimping on the Cai po for the 7 kueh I eaten, there is only Cai po just enough for 1 more kueh..

hi jian bo, you charged 30 cents more to separate the sauce, but you used this container that clearly doesn't prevent sauce from flowing over. What is the point?

5th Feb 2022 at 10:15am.
2 staffs were checking inventory of ingredients.
Despite standing at the counter to place order and calling, both of them seen me as a customer waiting, didn't even bother to attend or have eye contacts.
I was ignored even 4 to 5 times "hello'. Until I got to knock on the glass and catch their attention. I didn't mean to be rude but to rude people, I was left with no choice.

Why are ppl still patronising this chwee kueh stall at tiong bahru hawker that has a terrible attitude to serve? Not that I am eating for free! If they felt so stressful to make a living, who is not stressful now? On top of that, their kueh was so so! Review is based on my visiting in Nov 2021. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT, THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT!

Always requested for more chilli but has never given more. Today visited again, more chilli oil given instead. Disappointed, simple customer request has never fulfilled
