Review New Thai Tanic - Singapore

My first time here, seafood is very fresh! Great service from staff too as they helped to peel the shells and cook the food. Makes it easier for everyone. But, just need to take note that your clothes might smell after eating here - not an issue for me though. Will visit again for sure!

Good spread of food and at a reasonable price. It's an interesting dining concept where you can catch some of your own food such as shrimps and fish and it can't come any fresher. There's also a good selection of desserts and sweets. Restaurant only opens after 3.30pm and parking during busy hours is a hassle as it's street parking.

$58.75+$2(can of drinks). Seafood is fresh. Have freshly suckled oyster and oyster that has to be cooked. The cooked oyster are a lot better quality than freshly suckled oyster... Seems different supplier or whatever. The catching of the live prawns is very fun but u need a bit of guts as they struggle pretty strongly. The steam seabass is unlimited ordering. U can order gain after u finished. The sting gray and gravy beef is not so nice and difficult to cook as the charcoal fire ain't strong enough to cook it thoroughly. There is only charcoal grill when I go... No steamboat soup as in the video advertisement. Overall is fresh seafood and good times with friends. Very good service as they will cut or shell the prawns for u when u place it on ur table. There is tea and ice water at the side if u don't want to order the can drinks.. Must eat the banana prata(they will serve it to ur table). Soooo oily and crispy.. I love it😅

If you love seafood, this is the place to go, however please note that they do not have the whole complete selection everyday, they serve "today's catch". I went on Sunday evening for dinner and they didn't have fresh fish, lobster, cockles, blue crab, and mantis prawn, but there is still a good variety of selection (e.g. Thai lemon fish, normal prawn, giant prawn, oyster, mud crab, crayfish, flathead lobster, scallop, assorted shellfish, bacon, vegetables, ice-cream, etc). Overall experience is okay, the waiter and waitress will assist in trimming the prawns and deshelling the flathead lobster, they would also occasionally come over and help grill your food. Few things that I'm disappointed is that they did not refill the "catch aquarium" between the aisle, the raw seafood on the big ice table display is not organize neatly which made it look like hawker wet market, the floor is always wet and slippery, very different from their Facebook photos, they build your expectation but they under deliver. Food is fresh and clean, do expect to pay approximately $60 per-person on weekend including service tax.

First time experience here. Very interesting dining concept with live seafood in tanks for you to just take and BBQ. It was kinda hard to catch them prawns jumping around and resisting their inevitable death LOL 🤣. It was interesting to see crabs eating prawns in tanks beside our tables as well. Anyway, firstly i enjoy the variety of food and condiments. Might be slightly little to some but it's alright for me. Packed with giant clams, oysters, scallops, baby lobsters, salmon, crabs, big prawns and others I couldn't name due to my lack of knowledge 👨‍🎓 to go with condiments like garlic, light sauce, nuts, coriander, Thai seasonings and many more. Secondly, i must compliment the thoughtfulness of the staff for taking, cooking and processing the food for us. This is because customers will get busy peeling prawns, cracking shells to extract meat, leaving the grill empty thus it wastes time. Thanks to them, the food kept on coming for me to eat 😋 Thirdly, I felt that the 2 hour time limit is good too. For a big eater like me to be full even before 2 hours and that includes not maximising the grill, I will say for most people it is just right or even have time to spare. Lastly, it can be a tad bit pricy as it costs $70. But for an experience like this, I will say it's worth it nonetheless. For anyone wanting to eat here, highly recommended to reserve before coming as tables are few and be prepared to smell like a BBQ. Great food, great service, suitable time limit, good for groups and a great experience. Thanks once again Thai Tanic 🚢

They provide really fresh seafood (live prawns/crabs, shuck oysters at your table, etc). Confirm worth your money if you're a seafood lover. And even if you aren't one, the meats are so well marinated (and yummy) that you don't need to dip them in sauce. Net spend should be $60-80/pax, depending on the additional beverages (their normal free flow already provides a reasonable mix of water and soft drinks) you order and the prevalent discount they offer.

Quite a good selection of seafood and other stuff (eg bacon wrapped veg, spicy wings). The mild tom yam steam fish is delicious and apparently the raw oyster (not from the buffet section; have to order separately) too. It’s a DIY bbq place but staff will help you de-shell the crayfish, cut up the sotong, selectively cook some things if they happen to pass by. The staff are nice in general.

This buffet is extremely expensive. Some seafood are really fresh (prawn and calms) but u will also find seafood that is not fresh too. I find the price is so expensive that you can enjoy better buffet at the hotel. And the queue is very long although we made a reservation but we still have to wait closed to 1 hour and finally get to enjoy the buffet fest. The air ventilation is also not good. You will smell like a bbq prawn after the buffet.
