Review King Of Hot Pot - Singapore

We had an amazing time, it's quiet, the staff was attentive and we enjoyed an affordable hotpot dinner. Overall it was great and my dear friend keeps returning to King of Hotpot.

Covid has taken a toll on many F&B outlets. And the king of hotpot is no exception. It’s glittery led panels have since been turned off and it’s free ice cream and claw machines sit in disuse. The food selection is not what it used to be and has been whittled down to a select few choices only. The only saving grace are it’s 2 service staff. Overall it’s still a reasonable hotpot (which one can pay with their CDC vouchers) but it sorely needs to hire more service staff and regain more of its old business volume to recapture its regal claim to fame.

Hidden away at Oasis Terrace is a very generous hot pot buffet, the portions are huge and the fish and chicken is immaculate 👌👌 The servers are also very generous and tended to us very well. When the restaurant got too hot from the sun they lowered the curtains and also gave us a phone holder to hold up our phones.

Decent hot pot place, no queue when i came. Unlike the famous hotpot had to wait like 1 hour or more. Collagen Soup is surprisingly good!

Price is abit high comparable to Hai Di Lao. Celebrated father's Day here. Currently there is a promotion ongoing, ingredients are 30% off after 1030pm. The beef and pork taste amazing, the chicken a little strange in texture. The tomato soup base goes well with meat but is hard to drink as soup. The good thing about this restaurant is that the steamboat tray will come up revealing all the ingredients. For members, they can have a free cake on their birthday if they inform in advance. There is even a wall plug to charge your devices. Overall good food, great service, abit pricey but worth it. Truly the best hotpot in punggol.

No waiting time unlike the famous restaurants. Open till late, which is a good gathering place with decent steamboat. The sauces selection is a huge variety, and the soup base isn’t too bad. It can be inferior compared to other bigger and more famous chains, but overall ok for a late night steamboat.

The ambience is nice with good Chinese songs. The screen in the ceiling shows underwater ocean fish to give a feeling that the restaurant is underwater, which is quite impressive. The food is not bad. Chicken slides are soft and delicious, but the beef balls are quite hard. The steamboat tray can be lifted up with a button to see what food are inside the soup. The service is not bad, but I hope they can provide sauce making service , similar to HaiDinLao. The prices are however quite expensive.

One of the best Steamboat at Punggol with lots of fresh seafood, beef, broths and other dishes.
