Ki Lat no more...
Growing up in the area and eating from this stall since forever, words can't describe the disappointment.
10 minutes wait for a new batch to be cooked up. Noodle was still tough. That cooking water the noodle was supposedly simmered in was bland and lacked oomph. Lard bits sprinkled after did salvage the situation just a little.
Very run of the mill ordinary now.

Enjoyed my plate of Hokkien mee, nothing to complain about. Reached at 11am, and they cooked a fresh batch. It’s a no-frills coffeeshop, eat and go. Not difficult to find a seat also.
This is the $5 plate, comes with a few pieces of squid and 3 prawns.
Love the free flow pork lard. Chilli was tasty, like those you have with sambal stingray.
Accepts multiple forms of payment as well - grab pay, cash, paynow etc
Would revisit if in the vicinity

Went searching for hokkien prawn noodles after realising the chomp chomp one was closed. Lucky to have come across this gem. Wouldn't say its just as good as the chomp chomp one, but good wok hey, fresh prawns, unique refreshing chilli sauce, no long queue, easy parking nearby. Safe to say I'll be coming here often to satisfy my hokkien prawn noodles craving!

bought 2 packets takeaway for dinner. both turned out to be pretty bland. could only taste the char but no flavor and taste. believe the cook was the son. not sure if that was a contributing factor to this mediocre plate of hokkien mee

One of the famous Hokkien Prawn Mee around this area. Their Hokkien Prawn Mee are cooked with yellow Mee and thick Beehoon. Simmered in their flavorful prawn broth, mixed with their homemade belachan chilli, the taste was awesome. And of course, don't forget to add their fried pork lard for the extra taste. The only downside is their Hokkien Prawn Mee is priced at $5.00 per plate, which is on the higher side compared to others.

For the outlet at St George, noodle are super oily and prawns do not taste fresh. Also, the uncle with a bald patch scalp is rude beyond words. Was enquiring another stall owner and this chap cut into my path, hit my phone with his container of raw prawns and replied curtly on behalf on that stall owner.

Don't understand the poor ratings. Even before and after chilli, the Hokkien Mee is fantastic. Have some Wok Hei taste and the ingredients are pretty generous especially the pork lard so is worth every penny. A must try if you are around the area.

One of the best hokkien mee. Nice wok hei and delicious seafood broth is used to cook the noodles. Delicious even on a full tummy.

A fragrant, delicious plate of Hokkien Mee that never fails to tantalise my tastebuds, even when I am full. And that says a lot!
