Love this place, food was awesome and service was great. We were seated in front of the Bar and have a gin and tonic as there was happy hour. We had a few dishes. The penne pasta, which was hot cheesy, and full of flavour. The sirloin steak was cook perfectly when I requested to be medium rare. The Mexican wrap was awesome with a little kick, the green and red chills were just right with a warm wrap and fresh tomata salsa. Maybe to be improve to be given more salsa and maybe with onions in the salsa cause that what other restaurants did as well.

The place has a decent variety of American, English and some Asian food. The food quality is good while the prices could be lowered.
The restaraunt has a good view and is a cosy place to sit and eat, especially people staying at the Hotel Nostalgia

Food is so-so
Table is too crampy for a meal
We booked via eatigo, therefore they say can only ORDER within 15 minutes of booking time or the discount will not stand..., this is the 1st time I heard such thing...
We came for a friend's birthday..., guess what, We can't eat the cake there because they will charge us...
Did I say the air-conditioner feels like it's not working? Yes, it is HOT even inside...
The 10% service charge is definitely not worth the service they gave...

I went there with my boyfriend for dinner. We ordered a Sirloin Steak-medium rare and a beef
Burger.
I had to return the steak as it was already well done. Staff politely apologies and requested the kitchen to have my steak replaced. And yet, when the steak was served— It was again—well done. I was a little disappointed because I was expecting a fairly decent steak with the price tag of $24++. I would personally prefer the steak to be less marinated.
The burger was very basic, nothing too great. Definitely do not worth the $18++. Very basic ingredients: lettuce, tomatoes, non-artisan cheese and bread.
Nonetheless, the staff are really friendly and the happy hour house pour @ $7 nett is definitely a good deal!

Potion Bistro and Bar is located within Nostalgia Hotel within the vicinity of Tiong Bahru. Cosy and quaint, this place is relatively comfortable when it's not overly crowded. Indoor space sits probably about 20 pax, of which space might be a constrain if there is too many people. There's a sliding door that leads to the hotel, with guests passing by. Service rendered was fast and efficient. Staffs were fast and efficient, friendly and attentive. Tried the Atlantic Salmon, and it was nicely cooked. The salmon skin was crispy. Basmati rice that came along wasn't that tasty. The Penne a la Vodka was creamy and nice. Portion was alright. Caesar salad came in a decent portion when grilled chicken breast were added on. Overall a decent dining experience!

Food is very ordinary. We ate lamb chops, piri chicken and soup. A no frills 3 stars place to hangout at best.

A nice place to chill. Maybe not for food, because the table is small. But for a drink, the seating outside is nice and pretty quiet seeing that it's right next to a big road.

Ordered beef stew, bbq ribs, pizza and bolognaise. Beef stew was nice. Rest are ok, nothing to shout about. Nice place to chill.

I did not enjoy my dinner at Potion Bistro. Server's service was subpar. Felt unwelcomed and uncomfortable. Servers were nowhere in sight too during most of the meal. We had to keep standing up to go find a staff whenever we needed our water refilled or when our orders did not arrive.
Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had but other than that, my vodka pasta and nostalgia pizza were both sorely disappointing. Would not patronize again.
