Review L'chaim Bistro - Singapore

Alex
I had a great experience trying here for the first time. There are a few options of craft beers along with special promotions with which to enjoy them. The shop seems to be family-run and they are a warm and friendly bunch. I tried the IPA and Ale. Both were fresh and flavorful with incredible tones of flavor that cannot be matched by imported canned beers. My only regret was having too full a dinner prior to sample the food here. The snacks looked delectable when served to other tables. Looking forward to my next visit!

A very relaxing place for drink. I love it's nature like in Chiangmai or Phuket feel. We can have seat in the open air. There are not many such bistro in Spore. Must try their craft beer, they are really good🍺.

Terrible service and extremely rude staff. We arrived when the place was full, but my party was happy to wait for a table and even tried to offer reasonable suggestions on table seating and arrangements. The staff on duty were extremely disinterested even though they had a few empty tables that cleared off after we had waited for 10-15 minutes.

TGIF from Punggol! It gets very crowded even during Phase 2. Had their Aglio Olio for dinner which was very good 🤘🏻

In the last 50 over reviews I have done, never have I had the need to post a 1 star review. The staff here have created a need for this exception. I came here with a group of of 3 others, on a night this restaurant was notably crowded. The staff informed us (condescendingly) that there is no space left, and that they do not have a waiting list. This seemed reasonable, but it was only the start of an extended period of unnecessarily terrible service. While waiting, there were a few tables that cleared up (up to 3) and they were all able to hold 4 people (albeit a little packed). The staff were unwilling to give us the table, we assume it was because they felt it was too small for 4 px. We asked if we/they could move the nearby table to allow for the 4 of us to sit, but the staff just said no, with no explanations. The problem here was not the unfeasibility of seating us, but refusing to explain why we couldn’t be seated, refusing to allow any suggestions of workarounds, and refusing to provide the bare minimum in customer service. Maybe the staff here have no intention to work here long, but I hope management is aware of their staff’s substandard service if they intent for this restaurant to survive long.

Saw the Gd review of L. Chaim Bistro. Decided to visit the place. The staff is friendly. We ordered 4 set of chicken chop, one set of bak ku tea and it taste awesome. We heard from the staff that they are using fresh chicken thigh to give the best to their customers. For those who seldom drink beer and not sure which beer to choose, can try their sampling set first. You wil love it. A new and chilling place to go again:)

Food is fresh, boss says daily ordered. Chicken is tender and chicken chop sauce is delicious. Fish (& chips) portion is huge and fresh ! I like the craft beer too

6 sotong balls for $8.00 is kinda not ok, especially when it's served with packet chilli sauce. Have to decide whether you wanna go higher end, and have better presentation, or match the price to the food portion and presentation. Prawn twisters are quite good, but again failed on presentation to have the $8 look. :)

Had a great time with closed buddies drinking craft beer. Management of L'Chaim made use felt comfortable and relax. Highly recommended place to unwind the day. Slight suggestion to L'Chaim, price of beer should remind constant throughout the week, else there is no much incentive to visit L'Chaim on weekends due to the increase in price of beer.
