Ordered the thick toast with ice cream but it took around 30 minutes to come, which was after everyone else on my table had received and finished their food.
Coffee was not bad.
sitting is a little tight and can be pretty packed with all the dog owners over the weekend.
Do remember to make reservation before coming as it is quite difficult to to get a last minute table here.

It is a great spot for the furry friends to mingle but not the most ideal place for the humans (in terms of food). I came here twice to chill out with my sister and her dog.
If I am paying $18 for my Unagi rice, I expected the unagi to be covering at least half of the bowl on the surface. But my unagi was well hidden inside and let's just say that they are bits n pieces that combined to about an inch and a half size.
Carbonara pasta was merely edible after adding Tabasco sauce.
The cornflakes chicken waffle is a dish that is refreshing to me. However, the first few mouth were too overwhelming for me. The chicken is covered with lots of cornflakes. It's too oily for my palate. The sweet smelling aroma that ended with a bad taste in the mouth got me even more disappointed. Waffle at Prima deli is even way more delicious than this.
The seafood baked rice picture on the menu has salmon in it. We were deceived by it. When it came, it was practically baked rice with a few of mussels. And it tasted better with Tabasco.
Even the only presentable decent one was the chicken katsu rice. Even then the rice is not fragrant for that price that we pay for.
Try it for yourself and be your own judge. I have a high benchmark for food so I am definitely not going to come here for a meal. But I wouldn't mind sipping a cup of coffee watching our furry friends mingle.
Despite the taste of the food, this cafe makes a good chill out place with your furry friends. Especially on weekends, when there are more people in the cafe, it makes a good boundary where the furry friends can mingle.

Happy dog customer here (model attached). Service is good, dog loved running around the place. Food wise, the cappuccino really didn't look like a cappuccino, but it tasted quite okay. Tenderness of duck can be improved but my partner liked it

I visited happenstance twice awhile ago , I have very good impression on them, but now when I revisited today , I felt so disappointed on both the menu change as well as the hygiene on the place . The bin on the toilet was so full that people starts throwing the tissue on the floor which I took pic on , the water that cleans the urine when ur paw kid dirty , I felt like asking them has they not change the water for 1week? The water is so muddy and black and it stings !! I will not visit them again, it's a total upset and I'm worry for the hygiene for my dog . And I felt the staff is so free they actually sit around talking instead of clearing the bin and changing the water .

The cafe is clean but abit cramp for big dog to move. The interiors design is nice and bright, good for take some nice photo with your dog. The foods and drinks is nice, but the choices for dog is abit less. Overall is a good place to spend time with your dog. Just remember to make reservation for weekend.

I am not one who likes to give negative reviews but oh my goodness, all of us (humans and dogs) got tummy upset.
I visited the cafe on Monday morning (public holiday) and was greeted with a weird smell, presumably from their toilet. I went to their toilet and I had to hold my breath to not smell the stench. The toilet really smells. It was not that terrible from the last 5-6 times I visited this cafe. It was as smelly as any toilets from any busy coffee shops!
I had to tell the staff that the whole cafe had the smelly smell and high chance it was from the toilet. She was shocked, "Oh, you all can smell it from here?"
Obviously, the staff was aware that their toilet stinks! The plus side was, she tried to put some aroma diffuser near the fan or something. But that doesn't help much, btw.
We arrived early and their kitchen is only ready at 11am for their usual food. So we had their special dim sum, which the portion is small, so-so, and it was quite pricey, but fine.
Then, we waited till 11am for the kitchen to be ready to serve the dog food. For the past 5-6 times, we always order the same few mix of food for our 2 dogs - brown rice, broccoli, carrot, scrambled eggs, pork, salmon oil.
Later that day and into the night, our dogs splattered diarrhoea poop all over our house.
The next day (today), we (humans) also had a bit of tummy upset.
I am extremely disappointed with Happenstance Cafe. We used to bring our friends and family + dogs here, but after this incident - no way. Not anymore.

It's the first dog cafe I've been to, went at 5pm with my mum, there's free parking after 5! It's a weekday before dinner rush so there's only us around with my very shy dog. Place is clean and server was very polite, great food, even my mum loved it. My dog Norah that usually does not eat outside, finished the food that we ordered for her. Great ambience, good place to stay for a bit during non-peak hours. There's a nice space under the bench for shy dogs to lay. Salmon is absolutely great! Good portion size!

Having dined at Happenstance many times, my experience generally is good with only one exception. Yesterday was great! Waited for more than an hour for a friend to come as it was raining ... it was wonderful that the staff were so understanding (not pushy). They waited patiently until I was ready to order my food. My baby enjoyed his meal "Build Your Furkid Pasta" & I had Seafood Aglio Olio. The food was yummy!!! Btw, great recommendation by the staff on the food. I noticed that the menu has changed. Happy 😊that the standard of food is retained.

Food is good but the service is so bad! There were only 3 tables but we still had to walk to the counter to get our own menus and walk to the counter to order. The food took long to come and the waitress gave my dessert (which was already prepared at the display) to the wrong customer. Even after realising this, she still did not give me my order. I told her i would cancel my order and yet she did not apologise. Never going back there again. The price of the food is not as competitive anyway.

Ample space for my little pom to run around while the hoomans are enjoying their meal. Will definitely be back for the lively environment coupled with hearty food portion.

Went to the cafe on the 1st Jan 2017 with my Wife and 2 furkids (one a mongrel the other a black poodle) for dinner. While settling down and not known to me that one of my Furkid had peed, one of your staff immediately sounded off to me that my dog had just peed. From the last time I visited Happenstance cafe The staff were not this regimental and unfriendly. And would even offer to help clean the pee for me when I am not even seated. This is utterly disappointing to me. What kind of customer service/staff attitude is this?! Worst still when there is a pool of pee on the floor (on a later occasion) the same staff immediately assumed that it came from my dog. This is absolutely absurb!! Is she sterotyping just because my dog is black in color?!
For the human foods:
1/ My wife ordered tomyam spagetti and from what i noticed, it used to be creamy by now it became super soupy looks so much like meepok soup.
2/ I ordered Cornflake chicken and it was rather tasteless?!! fyi I ate this set of ala carte before and it tasted so much better during the early days (ie before the change).
Just too bad since the management has changed and the service just went southwards as well.
For my furkids foods, we order chicken pasta for both dogs. I noticed that the chicken meat was in a lump which I didn't make much of a fuss. But both had diarrhea the next day when they eased themselves.
At this kind of price that i am paying with this type of food standard, it is totally not worth it at all.
Sad to say but definitely not going back to the cafe again...

Visited happenstance cafe a few times (in noon between 3pm - 5pm) .
Tried the tomyam pasta yesterday , food was ok , portion could increase tho . As for the cleaniness of the place , it's good ! Downside is the drinks are on a little pricer side :(

I bring both my furkid and my bf's furkid visit happenstance on sat night , right after wrote a very sad review for them on Google map on the night itself after I got home . Been there twice last time and it has always been pleasant visit and the service staff were all so friendly. But that sat I visited , I was so disappoint that the food menu changes , water that clean for the dogs peep is so muddy that I wanted to ask them how long have they not even change the water? (FYI you staff were so free they sat down chatting and walking ard ) And the bin outside toilet that for throwing of tissue is so full that people starts throwing outside the bin (of all those I see , I took pic on it ) it's on google map .
My worst night mare !! Both my dogs is having diarrhea the next afternoon , now both of them is not eating and drinkin like normal . They both had the same food (beef with cheese ) and I actually thinks their food is so oily that I uses my hand to feed my dogs , when I try to wash my hand with soap , it's either the soap is too dilute or the food is extremely oily . I'm fortunate the waffle with ice cream didn't get me diarrhea. It's utterly disappoint and I will never visit Happenstance again.

Ordered via foodpanda and the food is terrible. Japanese tempura prawn curry rice - was not tempura prawn, just deep fried prawn , not tempura batter. Rice, 4 prawns, curry and 4 potato wedges squashed into a takeaway box. Looked terribly unappetitzing. Prawns were soggy, rice was slightly hard. Cornflakes fried chicken - overfried, dry and greasy. Waffles were soggy. Either the staff were poorly trained in food presentation or did not care about the customer experience or perhaps both. For a $34 meal, it was hugely unsatisfying. First and last time ordering. Would not step into the place either.

Excellent atmosphere for animal lovers, especially dog lovers. Great place for friends and their pet dogs to get together. Food was superb as well. Highly recommend their cereal chicken cutlet and their ribs.
