Review Fun Toast - Singapore

Okay experience. Food was average. Kaya toast was a bit too burnt. Fan Choy and Siew Mai were a little dry. Yong Tau Foo was okay. Chee Cheong Fun was good though. Coffee and Tea were on the strong side though we liked that. An okay place to patronize if you just want a quick bite and other places are too crowded.

I’m sorry if you ever had to dine here. The staff worked hard and non stop but clearly unhappy and miserable. The quality of food was significantly poorer compared to elsewhere. Please do try to avoid if you can help it.

After doing some shopping at the supermarket, I went back for coffee and snacks at Fun Toast. t wasn't very crowded but there were people coming in and out sometimes. Some stayed longer but most didn't. I got my coffee but had to wait for them to buzz me on the pager to collect my toast. Always like to see butter melting on the toast. The coffee and toast were OK. However. This fork is hard to use. I picked it up from the cutlery station but looking at the stain, I decided my hands are cleaner.

That’s a cold honey lime tea and a yuan yang toast in the photos. Forgotten to stir the before drinking, thus on first sip it was very sweet, not sure if it was honey because it tasted like sugar syrup to me. The toasts consist of 1 pc of kaya and 1 pc peanut butter. On biting, you will find that the outside is slightly crisp and inside is soft and that is really nice. However, the staff were very slow to clear the tables. Though there were at least 4 tables available but they were lined with cups, saucers with eggshells and plates which kind of puts me off. Walked around before coming back some 15 minutes later, to find the tables still not cleared, but finally a customer left and he cleared his plates, that’s when we got a seat. Staff was pretty rude when taking order, doesn’t respond at all when I asked a question, felt like I was talking to air. Halfway through my drink, one of the staff got into an argument with a customer. In my view, quality of food maybe important but service shouldn’t be neglected too.

A nice place to dine in for a simple dish or taking a sip of a cuppa coffee with toasted kaya breads here is wonderful. The place is not overly crowded thus you can enjoy your meal peacefully and there's ample of seats around.Their signature dish is the black soya sauce chicken set meals. Its herbal taste is very mild and the small chicken wings make it easy to eat.A simple comfort food but very fullfilling and satisfying too. The cold beverages is very soothing and refreshing too. A place for all to enjoy at a very affordable price.

Fun toast is always dependable. Good food at good prices. The service at this outlet is not the best though, but come here only for a quick breakfast and you'll be fine. The tea is also not as good as some of the other outlets.

Had a cup of coffee n egg mayo sandwich. Price = $5.20! Nothing to crow about. Only plus is that its not crowded. Recommended: patronise if you really need your caffeine fix and there are no other joints!
