I’ve walked past this restaurant a few times and finally got the chance to try it. Decent sized crowd kept my hopes high. Turns out that the ramen wasn’t too bad. Portion wasn’t huge though. Gyoza came in the set but I’d skip that if I were you. The free flow drinks sweetened the deal for me. If not for that, I would have rated this lower.

Noodles looked and tasted like cheap instant ramen. For $9.90, you could have gotten a better meal at other outlets in Velocity or Square 2.
I had the Tonkotsu Ramen with thin noodles and original meat

Ramen set meal is good with free flow drinks

For the price, I’ll give this a 5 star! When you just want a bowl of warm comforting decent ramen noodle that’s affordable.

Unwelcoming staff, no politeness, impatient when ordering. It was 11.30am and 2 of us sat at the sofa, staff rudely told us this is a 4 seaters and move to a 2 seat when there were plenty of empty seats. Ramen is alright, soup slight blend, char siew tough, couldn't expect much from a moderate ramen place but its price still high. Furthermore for a corporate building and business centre, can only pay by cash.

Broth is delicious, lean pork too for the $9.90 option. However its noodle is just okok otherwise everything else is great! They also have a free flow of drinks and a 2$ discount if you are a student.

Decent ramen for the price. Their set meal is also worth getting as it's value for money. Not authentic but more catered to Singaporean taste buds.

The old lady chased off my tired mother in law for sitting on the chair outside before the restaurant even opened. 10 minutes later the shutters were open and I went to buy a bottle of water for my 6 year old and the hound girl took it out of the fridge but the old lady said no way we could take the water as they had not opened officially . Very rude and heartless

I WAS CHEATED! This is definitely the FIRST AND LAST TIME I’m patronising this shop!
The male cashier insisted that I wanted the mineral water as my drink and charged me a full set meal price instead of ala carte when I specifically told him that I don’t want any drink. I wasn’t even aware that I was being charged the set meal at $14.90 when I pointed to the ramen on the menu to the cashier which clearly stated $11.90. On top of that, I told the male cashier that my order was a take-out at the beginning before I placed my order. He was not concentrating on what I was telling him and assumed that I was dining in. After I made the payment, he gave me a number and I told him that I wasn’t dining in. He told me he had to charge me another $0.30 for the take-out box. So I paid for the take-out. And that was when I realised that I was charged a set meal when I took a look at my receipt (my fault for not picking up the extra price before I made the payment. But hey! Customers are always right in the service line.). Then I approached the elderly female waitress and told her that I didn’t want the set and the drink, just the ramen. She told me very rudely, “But you paid already. We cannot return you the money.” This is a lie! I was from the retail line and there is no such thing as being unable to return customer’s money for wrong orders. It just takes a few more steps to do that. To top it all off, the male cashier shouted from his place and said, “Just now I asked you if mineral water is ok, you said ok!” (Rude much?)
So to avoid any further embarrassing situation, I accepted the set meal price. Then the elderly female waitress told me to go walk one round for my food to be ready. And I did. From Ramen Monster to Burger King and back. When I reached the shop, the same elderly female waitress exclaimed, “Your food is there! Ready so long ago already!”
Seriously Ramen Monster. Before you start loosing more patrons, I would suggest replacing all the 3 staff in your Novena outlet to friendlier staff. These 3 are obviously not qualified to be in the service line.
- an utterly disappointed patron.

Terrible service!!! I was alone waiting for my Friend to arrive to have dinner together.
The first thing the staff came up to me and say was “ you are not allowed to sit here, it’s for diners only”
I will never come back again and will not recommend anyone to patron!
Tried the Food before so-so
I would rather dine somewhere else, the staff is really horrible at servicing

If only there was an option for zero or less stars - this place will be it!!! I almost never write negative reviews, but the service at this place is beyond believe. Especially families with kids, beware!!! Not only is the attitude of there staff (more that one) is terrible, they do not welcome kids or those who are pushing strollers. (My guess is that they probably do not welcome wheelchairs either.) This was our first and last visit to this place - and even more surprising thing is we have not even ordered or tried their food yet. There was no need. Just with the type of attitude and customer service, we immediately fled.

Pathetic portion of food. I can count only 3 small pieces of pork for $10.90 curry rice And I have to wait 15 mins for it when there's only 1 other customer waiting for their food. Will not come here again.
Jace Chen
Unacceptable service at its best
The drinks are placed at the furthest corner behind a pillar and when you try to go there the people serving kept shouting at me to go seat outside when I was trying to get a drink holding a tag for food, my wallet and an empty cup until I have to ignore them instead of explaining if not I will never reach the less than 2metres to a drink
Never coming back

Consistent quality Good value and superb soup and noodles. The free flow tea is the icing on the cake. Die die just try.

I have always been a patron of this place at least once a week cos my daughter loves the ramen and I work around novena area. A couple of the elderly staff are really nice except a long curly hair auntie whom I think is the owner's mom or mil. Her attitude sucks! While I was ordering noodles, she ordered my son who was eating a burger to sit else where. Can't she just be more flexible? I understand no outside good policy but u m ordering few bowls of noodles and she cannot accommodate a kid who is just not a ramen fan? When she served the food, face was black and placed the bowl of ramen forcefully in the table. This will be my last visit and will not intro any more new colleagues to this place who created such negative eating experience!

I will only go to ramen monster whenever I crave for spicy ramen. Food's good for its price. Service was pretty alright until I met some of the new service staff. Would be a better experience if staff smile more and be a lil more friendly. The indian waitress inparticular need to step up her service game.
Gracie Lau
In this shop now. Indian waitress dipped her thumb in my dipping sauce for Tsuke-Men. I asked her to change it n she came back with a luke-warm instead of hot dipping sauce. No need to elaborate whats happening. I want to puke at the thought of it. I dun think I'll be back again.

Honestly after eating ramen at Hokkaido, this is really shit, honestly. But I still recommend others to try ramen monster!
Tony Too
Had the spicy noodles and it's really good. Will be back to try others.

Just walked out ... same experience as one reviewer - rude male staff / cashier. Never going back if this is the accepted level of service quality.

Poor staff attitude!
