Honestly, this is one of the best chai tau kuey you can find in bedok, the portion is generous and it is very hard to find a pack for $2 nowadays.
Love the Black Carrot Cake for its sweet and the fragrance from dark soy sauce, and the white one is savoury, would love to order a mix next time, highly recommended!!

This carrot cake stall standard have dropped. Too many people so they anyhow cook. Suggest to go to the nearby stall #01-71,Hong Heng Teochew Carrot Cake. Their carrot cake is better.

Hai Sheng Carrot Cake is one of the stalls that I noticed having long queues among the stalls in the 216 Bedok Food Center and Market. The lady was watching over the guy preparing the order. We will assume that the son is taking over the fire from the mum.
A traditional sweet savoury fried carrot cake in black is still my preference. The price of a plate of carrot cake comes in 3 sizes, from $2, $3 and $4. Nowadays, it's hard to get a plate of $2 food except in a hawker centre like this.
Fried Carrot Cake - $2 (Black)
The plate of Fried Black Carrot Cake is pretty decent with sweet-tasting black sauce and natural egg sweetness. The carrot cake is run of the mill type but good enough for a simple breakfast if you want to fill a portion of your stomach.

My all-time favourite carrot cake. Tastes so heavenly! New generation hawker @davidjosiris totally nailed this dish. As good as how uncle/aunty would normally prepare this dish. Truly scrumptious indeed! 😋

Correction on the pin location on google maps, it's not on the stretch facing 409. It's on the stretch facing Heartbeat @ Bedok. My favourite black carrot cake is at bedok interchange market, while this is my favourite white carrot cake. Very nicely fried and generous with the chilli which just goes so well with the carrot cake. I'm usually not a fan of white carrot cakes, this is probably the only, if not the very very very very few places, that I eat white carrot cake from.

Bedok has her famous carrot cake stalls. We chanced upon this during our morning walk and surprisingly the carrot cake was really good and not greasy. It is only $2 per plate. We have come here 3x already.
