A pretty generous amount of fresh sashimi, fish taste pretty fresh too. Decent amount of waiting time for a weekday evening. It is definitely pretty pricey but considering its huge amount and convenient location (town area) I will be back when the craving hits.
Musho Pea
Tasted decent and served fast, for the $14-16, not that value for money.
Kaisendon was pretty good with salmon, mackerel, squid and scallops.
Gyudon not worth it as it tastes like what you can find in food courts.

For 21.30$, this was definitely just a fair portion of sashimi (Seafood Feast - Extra Sashimi). The fish (and the salad below it) was fresh and they prepared according to instructions of less sauce. Would have been 5 stars if there was just one to two more spoons of fish since I paid for ‘extra’ #claudcomments

Nice food but slightly pricey!!
We ordered the spicy kaiseidon which was really yummy. They were generous with the sashimi ingredients which made me wish there was more rice to go with it!! Per my friend’s recommendation, we requested for the spicy sauce on the side as she said it was yummy but quite spicy. This was a good move for me as my spice tolerance is not that high. Recommend this move for those who like spicy food but spice tolerance can’t keep up 😂 Will come back again here if I have kaiseidon cravings.
Just minuses 1 ⭐️ because of the price. Slightly pricey and looks comparable to Japanese restaurant type of price? Still nice food nonetheless.

I am a regular at this restaurant and it is a much better branch than their Asia Square one. They have ample seats during dinner time and their sashimi is always fresh. I especially love their spicy sesame sauce. The only thing they ought to improve on is the cleanliness of the place as there's a lot of dead floes behind that clear acrylic panel at the very far end of the restaurant. There are seats there so when you eat and inadvertently glance at them... its quite off putting. Therefore minus a star because of that. Please clean.

Whatever happened to the standard of this restaurant? My wife and I ordered 2 bowls of Kaisendon. What we got was nothing like it used to be. The rice is now sticky and lumpy. The sashimi used to be coated with a good amount of sauce, is now dry.
I requested to the cashier for more soy sauce because everything was dry. She came out swinging with a spray bottle and an attitude. While my rice received 2 pathetic squirt of sauce, I was warned against asking for more and that she would have to charge me extra for it. Really? Charging me extra soy sauce at a Japanese restaurant? I wouldn’t need it if the food wasn’t so dry.
Teppei, you need to train these young staff to deal with customers better. What a let down.

My go-to for kaisendon, regularly getting my salmon fix here

A previously frequented place of mine for a quick lunch on a work day. Standards have dropped tremendously which explains the empty restaurant at lunch time. Portion is microscopic, they charge for extra soy sauce/wasabi. Fish is not fresh, miso soup is powdery. Service is terrible, when I asked for a spoon to eat my rice/soup with, I was told NO SPOONS FROM NOW. Save your time and tummy space, avoid Teppei at Ion at all cost.
