Review Tung Lok Signatures - Singapore

Attended a wedding dinner at Tunglok Signature. In my personal opinion, the food is generally better than some served in wedding banquet. The blending and thoughts behind these dishes are both interesting and surprising. The staff are all very friendly and cheerful. Parking is not a major issue and the place is clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!!!!

Food were tasty. Buffet and pricing is alright. Only some items comes one time. Refer to their website for full menu. Service is good. Spacing is ok. Drinks and small dishes extra charges.

Went there after our SRV southern island tour finished at TungLok Signature. Overall a good meal made better by very friendly and helpful service staff. Dishes were well executed, served hot, timely and well presented. The steam barramundi is so good, we will probably be back for that. After reading past reviews about SRV experience, TungLok really step up and did well. 👍🏼

Super great disappointment with Tunglok Signatures @ Clarke Quay Central. On 1st May 2022 when we went for the lunch, we were lead to the table at 11am and we were told by the lady Manager ( Grace Tay) that we had to complete by 12:19pm. Her attitude, tone, approach were rude. We had been to Tunglok many other outlets but she was the only worst attitude staff we encountered. All of us can see that she has attitude problem when she talked. Unlike another lady Swee Tin, she is courteous, speak with patience and smiles. That is the usual Tunglok service standard which we see in her. We opted for the premium pax $48.80++ because we loved some of the items that the normal package does not have. Grace Tay told us she will order the 3 limited items for us. Do you know when these 3 items were served? After 12 noon !! 3 Items:- 1. Tanjia-style braised shark's fin with fish maw & mini pearl abalone. 2.Tunglok chilli crab 3.Braised sliced garoupa served in hot stone pot. At about 12 noon, we had to ask Grace when will these 3 items be served She told us they needed times to cook the items. Food was served after 1215pm. The tanjia-style braised shark's fin with fish maw & mini pearl abalone was too starchy. None of the mini pearl abalaone was found or maybe too mini that we needed magnificent glass. The braised sliced garoupa served in hot stone pot was too salty. It was left more than half untouched not because we were full but because we care for our kidneys. During the first order, we ordered most of the items to avoid the long wait later. In the end the following items were not served. * Crispy fish skin with salted egg yolk * Crispyeggplant with pork floss * Fried crab meat ball with caviarand thai sauce * Daily boiled soup * Century egg porridge with duck meat * Deep fried prawn w wasabi mayo sauce * Deep fried prawn with crispy oats * Stir fried beef At around 1219pm, although most food not served, we thought we should proceed to order some desserts. We were not able to access the online ordering. When we asked Grace, she said we had exceeded our timing with a " I told U attitude". When we just sat down, the least Grace should do is explain to us about the 90 minutes meal time. If she is a service oriented MANAGER, she should "empathise" by telling us with a smiling face that we could have the meal till 12:45... It is only just an additional 15 minutes. That was what Max told me the day before. We are not being unreasonable, we are trying our best to abide with Tunglok too. She should further explain that the online ordering will close once 90 minutes was up. Based on my past experiences with Tunglok, attentive MANAGERS will on and off pop by our table and check with us on their food. I would expect her to pop by and remind us to order the dessert before the 90 minutes was up. Although we did have the dessert by manual ordering but the attitude left much to be desired. Anyway after 2.5 years, the food standard of Tunglok has dropped. All prices have inflated but not Tunglok starch flour. The braised shark fin, hor fun, etc were so starchy. We paid for premium price yet these above items were not served! So is this a cheat? For chinese cruisine to limit customers to 90 minutes, that's ridiculous. Tunglok Managment should think again when they are adopting 90 minutes for buffets, they should ask themseleves are they able to serve the food fast and on time? Especially their premium are not ready to be served when the buffet started ! Customers are paying to enjoy the food yet most of the food were not served so are customers feeling cheated? This is not the way to earn back your lost during this covid period !!!!!! I personally never in favour of such time limitation meal slots. If is not because of my seniors who are in favour of Chinese cuisine, the brand of Tunglok, the service and food quality of Tunglok, I will never patronise any meal with limited timing. With this recent experience with Tunglok Signatures, I will think twice in patronising them again.

Went for the hairy crab set meal. It’s so fresh and meaty with abundant creamy golden roe. The potion is just nice for serving. The staff are nice and helpful. Overall, excellent service and the food is great!

TLDR If booked with SRV: Waste of voucher, can donate let underprivilege enjoy (Sadly too late liao) If booked with cash: Not a good place to waste your bonus Actual REAL cost: $57.67 ($38.80++ Tung Lok buffet & $12 Adult tix & 1 way bus ride) + $4 tips/pax Klook blocked my review LOL *Conclusion* Number 1 will be informing of customers of the changes before hand, since clearly that they knew beforehand. They gave us the feels like SRV customers are not customers since they didn’t spend their “own money”, but as a cash paying customer this firms my stand on not going on tours since they have bad reputations for overall experience. I take it as I donated my money, hoping the agency boss will do good deeds on my behalf sua. Number 2, its was supposed to be ala-carte buffet, u last min change to 20 dishes set meal, not enough eat still dun allow to order again? If TungLok standard is so bad, definitely not recommending people to eat there, food is cold and small portion. Serving size same for 2pax/4pax/8pax.

Standards seem to have dropped. Brought my mum there for birthday lunch and most of the dishes were average or below average. The lobster dish was too salty, and lobster didn’t seem as fresh as the lobster meat was mushy instead of firm. Lobster porridge was bland. Glutinous rice tasted average. Guo tie wasn’t seasoned well. Xiao long bao was not bad. The best dishes were the prawns and prawn dim sum which was delicious. Everything else needs to be improved on.
