Review Jew Kit - Singapore

Not bad. Rice was not too oily and the white chicken was ok. Chili could have more kick. Came here at about 11 plus on a Sat morning and it was half full. Food came fast as they had the chicken in single portions all dished out in advance. Seems like the eatery has a large group of its own long-time regulars. Payment was easy as the QR code was placed everywhere. Quickly eat and go kind of place. Not many seats. $5.50 for single portion.

Rice is hard but chicken is tender. Relatively pricey for its quality. I rate heavily for the as I find the rice too hard and tasteless. There is no aroma from the rice, yet the rice is as oily as other chicken rice stalls. Chicken is tender though, breast meat is not dry and has a nice texture to it. However it is quite pricey for the given quality. Will not return here unless my friends asks me to

This plate cost $7.50. - very sad looking ! Quality and quantity just not there anymore. Taste isn't what it used to. Soup and rice not hot and chicken tasted very normal. Seating arrangement is cramped and not conducive. Asked to share table to meet safe distancing - doesn't make sense when the other customer plate is literally touching my plate! Better options out there. never..

Single plate isn't enough and half chicken is a must. Been here several times for the past few years, always been in queue no matter what time early lunch or late afternoon. Worth the queue and tender fresh chicken meat. Slightly overprice but understand that is because it was overwhelmed by many as well.

Has a nice old school taste. Had a mix of the chicken and rice. Had the liver and gizzard also. Very nice.

The best Hainanese chicken rice in my opinion. Been coming here since 1985/6 and the taste is still the same. The chicken is juicy and tender, veggies are done just right and their duck soup is delicious. Wish they did some home made drinks but the gravy for the chicken and the chili is fabulous. More than 30 years and the taste is consistent. Love it!!!

The only selling point is the chicken. Tender, juicy, soft, succulent. Rice is boring, chilli is boring. Soup is not too bad. But nope. Wouldn’t return though.

This place deserves more stars. I literally had Tian Tian Chicken Rice at Maxwell 1 day before I ate here and it's better than Tian Tian.. IMHO. Rice is fragrant, chicken is tender albeit slightly cold, hot soup helped to balance the flavors. Chilli - spicy like how I like. Ate here growing up and it's still one of my favorite chicken rice places in Singapore. For $4.80 in orchard road, it's affordable. I paid US$19 (~SG$25) for ONE PLATE of Boon Tong Kee in Las Vegas which did not taste like Boon Tong Kee AT ALL.
