Nestled away at the foot of a HDB block, with ample parking. Food was good, fried egg was done really well but a little too oily. Tom yum soup (clear) was good.
Service from the staff was mixed - the lady taking orders was incredibly curt, but the servers were friendly and helpful. It is a good place for simple, fuss free Thai fix.

Authentic thai restaurant, even the staff are mostly Thai.
Taste of food is great and reasonably priced.
The must haves are the fish in lime, prawn cakes and pork collar.
Come early to avoid having to wait too long, though tables turn around quickly due to the yummy taste, which gets wolfed down relatively quickly.
End off the meal with authentic thai dessert - iced red ruby.

My second time back at the Toa Payoh branch, i was surprised that the waitress recognised and greeted me like an long time customer. Was recommended to try their steam fish with lime sauce. Me and my girlfriend like it very much. Thank you for the friendly gesture
and great recommendation. I will be back to try other dishes. 😄

Very nice and typical Thai food. I have been here many times and still always my first choice whenever I craving for Thai cuisine.
Its not only nice food, very cheap some more. No GST, no service charge.
Where to find?

2nd table seated, but had waited an hour or more for food to be served. It seemed like they cared more about fulfillment of the Grab food orders since we had to wait so long. Even tables after us gotten some of their food first, this was made even more unpleasant with my hungry children.
What we ordered:
Basil pork with rice - first impression was terrible, serving of pork was also little, egg white was cooked too long as it was rubbery, though the sauce was okay. You can probably get better ones from coffeeshop Thai food stores which I used to get at Ubi.
Phad Thai - serving was small, really small. I also found the fish sauce lacking and this was supposed to be a chef recommendation
Pineapple fried rice - still ok, serving was "average". My kid could finish this, so it's "average" as there is always leftovers at other Thai food stores that we visit.
Fried Kway Teow with Beef - kiddo say ok not bad. Was alright but didn't tried the beef and once again serving was "average".
Tom yum (creamy) soup with seafood - ok, soup was the saviour. But I gotten a piece of squid that was mushy and was disappointed.
Overall, ok to eat but never will patronise this outlet given such waiting time for such food. Several better stores that serve much faster than this. Not hungry children friendly, but instagrammable with their signature neon sign

Best authentic Thai food you can get in Singapore which is cheap. Not service and gst charge. If you love cockles, this is the place to go.

Our 1st visit (09/1/22) as nearby and early enough to get a table. We're pleased with the place and foods, but the music bit too loud for the small space. Hope they turn volume down a notch after reading this and keeping both standards cum prices. Less a star for the loud music.

Found this on google map and decided to give it a go! We ordered Thai Basil Rice, Olive Fried Rice, Kailan with Mushroom, Tomyam Seafood Soup (Creamy) & Red Ruby as dessert. Everything was good especially the Tomyam! Total damage - $26.80, very affordable! We will be back to try the Steam Seabass with Thai Lime Sauce 🤤

Dined in this small and humble food place twice. Food is affordable and tasty, definitely a must try! One of the few thai places that does not practice the usage of MSG and yet food still tastes good and fresh! Will recommend the steamed fish and the stuffed chicken wings.

First, i will like to acknowledge that your replies to customer's with -ve reviews (I roughly went through the reviews) were positive. Not giving excuses and looking forward to do better.
For that i decided to visit Soi 47.

Claypot prawns, deep fried seabass with special thai chilli sauce, chicken green curry, Mango salad and 2 white rice. Total $40.80 no gst & service charge.
Claypot prawns - 6x big prawns and tong fen were Q and tasty. $10
Seabass - about 30cm long! Quite fresh and crispy. $19

Visited the toa payoh outlet. Food was served promptly. The seabass portion is big and well executed. Will definitely revisit again. Would be good if there is beer .

Staff are rude, dun know the menu but said have have, when order came is totally different item. Feel cheated . The best is other staff told me , lemongrass and galic is same !!What that hell!! Food is nice but do not trust the `special menu" in the Fb post, it just for advertising use, when you at shop there is not such as special menu.
Kuan Pheng
Small cosy place with nice thai food that will not break a hole in your pocket. Personally, i like the fried prawn cake, seafood tang hoon n steam fish. Highly recommended.

Not seeing reviews from Thais so here goes.
As a Thai person eating Thai food it was one of the worst meals. Visited King George Ave
-TomYum creamy version - too sweet instead of spicy and sour
-Kai lan crispy pork- damn salty, portion not worth $8
-Papaya salad or supposed to be somtum.
It’s just a literally ‘mixed’ by hand salad of tasteless papaya shreds. No signs of mortar and pestle use which is what ‘tam’ actually means.
-Fried pork collar was the only dish that I could eat properly.
-$1 white rice portion seemed like 50cents portion
Should hire a new chef whether u have Chinese or Thai currently
P.S. if you have come as far as Lavender might as well go a little further to Golden mile for guaranteed decent food

Delicious and affordable thai food! The tomyum seafood soup and minced meat wrapped chicken wing is a must-eat! Healthy too as they do not use MSG.
