Review Yellow Submarines - Singapore

Axiomica
It’s small, messy to eat, home cook style meat filling, bread is oh so soft that can be squashed flat. Overall it can’t beat a Subway.

Beef tastes great. Recommend to add-on cheese fries (for $2) to complete the meal (or else you might still be a little hungry). You may think portions are for the subs are small but once eat it with cheese fries; you will feel very full! Last I had them was back in 2016 and I’m so glad that they’re back again! (Also, feel free to check out my food blog on Instagram @/kirahblogs) 🥰

Food quality was OK, portion size not very big but OK for the price. However, service was slow, had to wait 15 minutes to have order taken, and then another 15 minutes for food.

Small portions Taste wise, the bread is well...acceptable if you are on eating in a submarine. Saved only by decent quality fries.

Interesting concept, hardly seen in Singapore. Tastes ok, portions are abit small.

Despite the fact that the cheesesteak is primarily a beef dish, Yellow Submarines has gone out of their way to be very inclusive of people with different dietary restrictions. They have the M1 Submarine which is a vegetarian sandwich (mushrooms and capsicums) and there is also a Tuna Submarine for people who fancy seafood. I think that such considerations really go a long way in our multi-racial country. I know that I can invite my Hindu friends, vegetarian friends or even my pescetarian friends and we can all have something to eat there.

Sandwich is tiny, more like a muslim curry puff. Mcdonalds offer better value. The mushroom soap tasted horrible. Loads of salt and MSG. The beef sandwich / sub just didn’t taste right. Not for people looking for authentic American sub. The cheese in the cheese fries was of low grade quality.

Nothing special for the price and not filling. Fries and beef is decent though.

Delicious food with acceptable price, waiter and waitress tackful with the food and beverages knowledge and able to recommend competently to assure customers get the best taste of their signature food.

I remember patronising Yellow Submarine countless times back when they first opened years ago. The sub portion was WAY bigger and definitely had more thought and love put into it. Just went to the Toa Payoh branch for dinner after a really long time and was expecting the same great Yellow Submarine standard but was disappointed. What happened to the size and portion of the sub? The cost is not justifiable anymore due to its size, probably needed two subs to have my fill when I only need one in the past. If this is the portion served in recent years, I'm afraid I won't be coming back for more. A real pity. Used to love the good ol' Yellow Submarine. PS: Deco at the upper floor is great, kudos for keeping up the interior.

The portion is ridiculously small. And i ordered a regular.. wonder how puny the 'petit' size would be..not worth the dollars

Tried the naughty chicken with chips and waffles for lunch, portion is just nice and the taste is superb , love the sauce , love the waffles, definitely coming back to try the cheesesteak next

Poor service. I order Take Away Torpedo fries which should come with cheese. They forgot to put in the cheese and make me waste my time and trip back here to change and the counter staff nv even apologise. Will not visit again!

Roti john at Spize is more delicious and worthy. The bread quality is an upset here just like the one from mama shop. Staff a bit lazy. Nothing great. A so so..

2 friends and I had dinner at the Bugis Junction outlet yesterday, just wanted to say that the customer service we received (at around 7pm) from the man at the counter was one the best I've seen, not just for fast food joints but just food establishments in general. He was a natural at being friendly and warm, knew his menu well, was honest about the products and just gave off a great vibe overall! I think the subs themselves were so-so, we really enjoyed the torpedo fries though! Giving it a 4 because we all left very happy from the experience due to the great service.

Loving the new interior decor from how I remembered it from some years ago. Can't quite say the same for the subs. Salted caramel ice cream was fab! Cheese fries weren't too shabby either.

Has always been a fan of the food here. Especially when an outlet opened up at Bugis. Tried the Cheesy Torts add-on along with the usual Yellow Submarine Classics. Didn't regret ordering the Cheesy Torts though I feel there should be more of the chilli beef portion. Still great though. And might I suggest, the chilli beef to go along the torpedo fries for your next experimental menu? Would love to try that!

My wife and I, we just had the yellow submarine classic and the philly submarine. Just wanna ask, where's the beef? There's so little beef it feels like eating just bread and cheese. Why are you guys holding out the beef? Where's the beef?! Customer service was good though, that's what the 2 stars are for.

The food was as good as I remembered, but the service standard has fallen a long way since I visited the Toa Payoh outlet when it recently opened. Waited over 10 minutes when it was relatively empty at about 2pm, and the staff managing the collection counter spammed the queue number repeatedly when the customer fail to approach the collection point 10 seconds after the first alert. Extremely annoying and uncalled for especially since they have a second level in that restaurant, and time is needed to respond to the queue numbers flashing on the screen.

I had lunch today at your Toa Payoh branch. Was a horrible meal. It tasted bad. Was not able to finish my meal. For the rest of the afternoon I felt awful. When I got home I could not even move and puked 3 times! Never going back again!

For the price u pay, you're better off having roti John.

The mocha is super duper diluted. And the cashier is super blur.

Excellent customer service. Great food (especially the fries). I love the design of the shop. It is very "cheerful" looking. And the menu will be even better with some salad option. Oh yes, one last thing: how about changing the router name to your company name? At least the customers will know the FREE Wifi logo is not for show. Will be back for more :)
