Had the salmon don and the black truffle fries with parmigiano. Salmon was cooked just nice. The rice is A LOT though and was slightly soggy made worse after mixing the egg. Only ate a third but was bursting already. Fries are great. Overall would recommend this place but wouldn't travel out of my way to eat here.

Mentaiko Salmon don was perfect, tender salmon coupled with mentai. Tempura don was kinda meb, could be better with abit more vege tempura,

Ordered the wagyu beef and salmon mentaiko dons. Tasty and reasonable priced. Would pop by again if in the area.

Housed in a typical kopitiam, we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation of our food. The Mentaiko Salmon Don had a perfectly pink salmon fillet with the torched sauce generously on top. Iberico 'Sio Bak' Don was spot on hitting the local flavour--crispy but instead of the usual tough meat, it was tender and not quite fatty.
The Truffle Aioli dip made up for the Dak Gang Joeng Chicken side that was a bit lacking.
Value for money.

We had the salmon mentaiko don and the garlic parmesan chicken don. Both were amazing!! It was cheap and really good!!(:

The meats here are all sous vided so everything is super tender - the fried chicken and siobak was so good and their huge kyodai don is extremely filling for 2. The coffeeshop is pretty quiet too!!

Nice pitch of a Donburi concept with Sous Vide cooking but was executed mediocrely. I had a salmon with mentaiko and the mentaiko with mayonnaise completely covered the flavours of the salmon. It's a waste of the Sous Vide effort. Taste was decent. You can consider trying the beef or the sio bah.

本当にマズイです。The food consisted of one salty unbalanced sauce piled on top of another. Portion was way too huge for such a jelak dish. The achar tasted very local and was the best part of the meal. Bring kimchi 😂

Was here today afternoon to try it out. Heard from friends that the service and the food have deteriorated badly, but nevertheless, choose to give it a try. True to these bad reviews, the server/cashier was really "arrogant", showing his impatience in explaining the food choices when taking order.
Food wise, the don was average. The salmon is overcooked, tough and tasteless without the mentaiko sauce. If you love beef badly, do not order their wagyu beef! This is a total disappointment. Rice was a little soggy and lumpy, being on the wet side. The pork has got a heavy smell, not to my liking. The tempura is the only acceptable dish but still, it lacks the wow factor.
I am not sure if its service and food standard have indeed dropped, but I can only comment that it is not really worth a trip down to try. I recommend Katanashi Don at Raffles Place, whose standard is way higher than this is.

Was there for dinner on Wed night.
My friend ordered Garlic Chicken Don and I opted for Mentaiko Salmon Don. And we ordered the Honey Baked Wings to share.
The Mentaiko Salmon Don was a disappointment in terms of portion and taste.
The piece of salmon was tiny, definitely much smaller then the various posts that I've seen online.
Taste wise, Salmon was over cooked (dry), and rice had too much teriyaki sauce on it, overpowering the whole dish.
Presentation wise, definitely not as enticing as the photos that I've seen online too.
Garlic Chicken Don is cheaper and more value for $ then the Mentaiko Salmon Don.
My friend was pleased with his Don.
Honey Baked Chicken wings looks suspiciously fried and was way too salty.
Disappointing.

Even before i take a single bite i condemn this place. Specifically ask how long would it take to prepare my order and 10 min was the answer.
But 30 min later i was told the rice ran out, mind you its 1pm weekday lunch time and you can run out of the most basic component of japanese don? RICE! So a simple dish takes more than 30 min to get done at a coffee shop and cost 10 bucks.
I really think the long queue is not because its good food but a simple matter of laziness and inefficiency.

Went to try the food on their opening day. I really like the Wagyu Beef don. The combination of the beef and egg was well matched. The wait for the food was a little too long but I guessed it's their opening day and they were just getting a hang of the operations. I was impressed with the young team behind DON and their humility in their service. Thumbs up!! Will definitely recommend my friends to give it a try!

If you only have a day to live you might consider patronizing them becos the wait is like ETERNITY, was the food worth the eternity wait....? Sadly NO....
wagyu beef totally "butchered" and "murdered" died in vain
Sorry I usually won't comment but..... sigh....
5stars for the staffs tho...

I was there on Saturday with my family. The food was good! Exceeded my expectation! Will recommend my friends and definitely will go back there again!

After seeing the prior +/-, decided to pop by before noon. Waiting time was short, maybe we were there earlier to catch the guys in action. It was good. The onsen egg and the wagyu beef blended in decently with the rice. Mentaiko salmon was not overly cooked and the mentaiko itself wasnt overwhelming. Would be back to try the others in menu.

The food is good, but however the buttermilk fried chicken has no taste to it.
my personal favourites are the parmesan chicken, beef and tempura

Super thumbs up for the salmon don that we finished the large portion. Worth it!

Good food, decent price. Worth e money... but Long queue need to wait. Kyodai Don for 2 is overkill. 3 adults + sides I feel just nice. No luck for their fries, will try on my next trip.

Had the Dak Gang Jeong Don. Overall, I enjoyed it. The chicken was crispy, sauce was tasty (though not the spicy I expected) and portion was generous enough to fill me up. For this price, I'll be hard-pressed to find a similar dish of higher standard.
The waiting time was short on a Monday evening, definitely less than 10 mins after I'd ordered.
I can see myself coming back for more, especially if they open additional outlets in more convenient locations later in the year.

The whole meal was cold, rice, beef~ Tasteless meal to be honest. Very disappointed

Value for money.
I've seen lesser dons priced at higher points. But rarely have I had meat portions more than rice.

Disappointing! The appearance of the don's looks great! But when u bite into salmon and you can't taste salmon and the mentai sauce is very artificial.... it's sad!
Next, salted egg tempura... again in terms of appearance was really good! But then.. when u take a bite... nope no salted egg taste... no prawns taste... it's kindda like a one time store. Pictures on burppe looks great and tasty! But yeah that's bout it.
