Review Yan Fried Bee Hoon - Singapore

Yan Bee Hoon! Most are here for the fried chicken and Bee Hoon. Price is really reasonable, bee Hoon is tasty (not too oily)! I would say the must have is the fried chicken! It’s served hot and crispy. There’s always a long queue so the chicken is always freshly cooked. Would come back again! Can see why there’s a long queue.

#01-19 Yan Fried Bee Hoon 焱 Yan Fried Bee Hoon specialises in Fried Bee Hoon and Mee, together with various other accompaniments such as fried chicken wings, luncheon meat, fish cakes, sausages, otah amongst others. It has 2 claims to fame, one being that Mr Lee Hsien Loong (Prime Minister of Singapore) once stood patiently in line with others to purchase the Fried Chicken Wings from them, the other claim being that the founder of Eng Kee Chicken Wings had trained the founder of Yan Fried Bee Hoon how to make the Fried Chicken Wings leading to both having a similar recipe and taste. In fact, when making payment via QR Code, one will find the stall named as Eng Kee Chicken Wings. The Fried Chicken Wings here are definitely crispy and yummy and worth the long wait of the long queue. Although, one may find that the master is still a tad better than the student. The other items at the stall though are generally average at best, so order at personal discretion. General Verdict: Golden crispy and aromatic Fried Chicken Wings, and only the Chicken Wings, that is worth the hype and the queue just for it Opening Hours: Monday-Friday 11:30am-8pm Saturday 9am-6pm Closed on Sunday Queue Situation: About 15mins to 30mins Price: Depending on selection Payment Mode: Cash, Local Internet Banking by QR code or AMEX (Singapore) Pay Item Ordered: 1) Item: Fried Chicken Wings Description: Golden crispy and aromatic Fried Chicken Wing that is so yummy and juicy Verdict: Very Good, Must Order Price: SG$1.30 each

This is another never-ending queue stall for their famous fried chicken wings. Most people are buying their chicken wings, not a few but plenty on a plate. Their wings are usually served hot due to the high demand. The bee hoon taste is slightly above average and is too not oily and the portion for one person is equivalent to two person which is a good thing. The chicken wing taste great and has a thin crispy layer of their perfectly seasoned batter. The chicken juices are locked inside when your teeth bites into the wings. Price is cheap and economical.

Awesome food! My fav fried chicken wings and a typical Singapore breakfast well cooked. Price and taste remained the same for many years. The owner is very diligent to keep to a certain quantity with the same Local taste for years. Hopefully he has succession plan in place. If not, another Local delights is going to be missed!

The best fried chicken wings around, crispy tender n juicy. Chilli sauce goes well with the wings, full of flavourful ikan billis 😋👍

Fried chicken is great. Tasty, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Chilli goes well with it. Queued at 7pm and the light "chicken wing sold out" was flashing, but good thing he still had some left for those already in the queue. Bee hoon is average.

Heard so much about the stall and recently just went and tried the food. Chicken wings were freshly fried and tasted above average. There aren't much choices to add on, other than fried eggs, ngoh hiang, luncheon meat and fish cakes. The fried bee hoon is dry and not much taste. The chilli is watery and not spicy. As many have commented, if not much queue, can try the chicken wings, but you can get equally good ones even from the stall opposite too.

This isn't the original stall owners from when the PM ate here, but that's ok. The $0.80 plain kway teow noodles were nothing special, but the $1.20 chicken wings were nice. Make sure you drizzle hot chilli sauce over everything!

One of the Best, if not The Best Satay Beehoon in Singapore! The satay gravy and ingredients are great and fresh. A must try if you have the craving to eat Satay beehoon!
