It was a after lunch hours and less crowded that Sunday afternoon. Not a big place with a single rows of tables and seats along one side of the cafe itself.
They are mainly known for the toasts and coffee which I used to have them between lunch and dinner time.
During this visit, it was a late lunch for me.
The sandwich I had was simple, non-greasy, non-fancy(it was just alright)
But I personally find that the taste can be better. Maybe better seasoning.
I had also ordered a cafe mocha and it tasted much sweeter than usual(almost like drinking hot coco).

Always loved to drop by and spend a nice Sunday afternoon here. It’s usually quiet here so it’s always a great place to rest a bit, read a book, etc.
My favourite order is a siphon coffee, brewed in a rather unique way. I also order a toast that comes with an egg too. It’s not a big piece but nice portion to snack on. You can choose the type of bread too!
The cafe is the same shop as the Pullman bakery next door, so you can eat breads or tarts bought there in the cafe. There’s a loyalty card too per visit.

Plain french toast was great - light, fluffy and moist. But what I would come back for is the ramen egg served with the toast. It’s perfectly cooked with a nice soy and dashi flavour. Salted caramel iced coffee was creamy and delicious!

I've been a hard core fan on their toast and coffee despite the poor services. Been patronizing millenia branch for more than 5 years. I would rate 4.5/5 on food but I cant say the same on their services. It has been deteriorating!
1. Understaffing. Sometimes I noticed only 1 staff handling from ordering to being a 'chef'. The service level of the japanese speaking auntie has been the most consistent (friendly and passionate) other than the food!
2. Not all the young ladies gave poor services.
Is tolerable given the love on their food. There is one particular one who is extremely impolite and sarcastic. Think she's no local.
I really urged the mgmt or the boss if Tachihara to provide basic training on service delivery. I really hope the cafe would hang ard for as long and not wind up due to poor service!

Very bad service and food. We requested to dine in and all the breads were served as good one. The waiter even blame on customer that we didn't mention about the heating. So I request to heat all the food for my kid, they rejected me and said because detergent consideration. Super bad service and trained for their waiters!!! Never choose this one. The one at Jurong East region library.

The young ladies for ordering and preparing coffee looked very tired working here! The auntie has more passion for serving customers (these 2 stars are for the auntie) Not very Japanese standard service or I misunderstood the shop concept.

Had classic French toast and iced salted caramel latte. Also the peanut butter bun. Really good texture to it. Soft and moist. Underrated place will come back again. Also the free eggs were good!!! Reasonable price for a place in town.

Tachihara is a neat cosy joint who does Japanese coffee well the siphon way. But for me the highlight is actually the hot dogs. Wrapped in a delicious hotdog bun/roll with outstanding creamy sauce. The clam chowder is different from the usual western style, theirs is more like a homemade soup but packed full of ingredients like clams, bacon & vegetables.
Although there is not many food items to choose from but the hotdogs definitely takes the trophy with the clam chowder coming in a close second.
I feel this receipt will take them forward to expand to other locations.
