A food paradise mall with so many buffet restaurants - Tung Lok, Kiseki, Ban Heng, Shabu Sai and many others all in one mall. The Shabu Sai outlet here also offers a value meal for $9.99++ on weekday lunch which is not available in most other outlets. I like the unique elevator lifts here which are made of glass that enable you to see through. There is also a very long escalator in this building which takes you from L4 to L7. (see attached photo) Not many people dared to take this escalator because it stretches so long and it is overlooking the outside of the building. It is actually quite a daunting experience.

Designed by DP Architects at the site of former Orchard Road open air car park, the industrial looking Orchard Central opened in 2009 with 12 floors above ground and 2 basement levels. Home to the 24/7 DON DON DONKI and UNIQLO’s flagship stall, there are many unique shops and restaurants in this mall but no luxury brands like at Takashimaya, Paragon or ION. Unlike traditional mall designs, a central atrium is omitted and this is really confusing and difficult to locate shops. It also features a "super escalator", which takes pedestrians on the street level directly up to Level 4. The mall is served by a total of 52 escalators (including 6 super escalators) and 12 glass elevators.

Oh my dinner at Tung Lok Peking Duck at Orchard Central was quite disappointing this evening. The service staff was a little rude when serving dishes n clearing our table. Looked like in a foul mood. Otherwise food continued to attract us back here. Hope if the management could read this and would impress upon their staff to portray a right friendly attitude.

A city shopping district for your retail therapy. Lots of restaurants and retails here. There is even a national library for you to rest and pick up a read. Great ambience.

So many expensive riches, even a pirate would find treasure here, and it wouldn't be an X that marks the spot, it would be an 80ft 3D decagonal structure (at least that's what it looks like, so if you geometry geeks know your shapes......)! Only one problem: too many floors and windows for the poor cleaners, so while we're spending hours spreeing the place, they have to spend hours maintaining it! 😫😫😫 Just like every other shopping centre, but on a much larger scale, providing you with an experience that would make your local Tescos shop feel like buying a paper at the newsagents. So all of you girls and honeybuns who like a bit of Milan, Tokyo and Paris all rolled into one, I highly recommend Orchard Central. It's got everything, possibly a potential model to take back home!

The lifts are only a showcase. So many units and they take forever to arrive. Looks like only one lift working at one time. Was at the level 10 auditorium. My second time there and the air circulation is so bad there. I can smell food smell through the ventilation and makes you cough when you breathe.

Nice hangout on a Friday. Don Don DONKI in this mall basement. Uniqlo flagship store. But i realised Orchard Central free wifi signal not strong.
