Only selling German beer on tap in coffeeshop
Fresh n very refreshing
Fortunately there's a pretty good Western stall that serves French garlic sausage n pork cutlet that go very well with beer
My beer of choice would be Dunkel - a dark coloured wheat beer... Smooth more flavourful. Surprisingly easy to drink

Supposedly famous for its affordable pork knuckles. It is definitely crispy but also very chewy. It was so chewy that my fork bent. Sauerkraut was plain white type unlike the usual ones I get elsewhere. Mashed potatoes wasn't mashed but it was good.
Chicken chop was delicious though. Nice slightly crunchy skins and flavourfully done. Will definitely get the chicken again next time.

We booked through eatigo apps and get 50% discount. Had the family platers at $19 after 50% discount which is a steal. The pork knuckle is crispy but a little too dry on the inside. The sausage are good. The chicken and pork chop are also a little too dry. But at the 50% off price it is a steal.

Really surprised to see Rich and Sinful German Food available at Toa Payoh. Family platter is their signature dish at a very affordable $38 for 1 Whole Pork Knuckle, Pork Chop, Chicken Chop and 2 German Sausages topped with Mashed Potato, Fries and Sauerkraut. Especially good is the Pork Knuckle. The skin is so Crispy and it's fats are literally melt in your mouth good.

Set lunch: half pork knuckle for $10 with soup and drink. Chose ribena soda , was great value! Achar instead of sauerkraut is interesting. Otherwise authentic German fare; they do serve 3 types of beer as well. The potato wedges were very crispy too!

I came here with a recommendation from a friend, and I was not disappointed. You get value for money meals thats very good, but being a blend between authentic German food and its locatiom at a coffeeshop in Toa Payoh, you can expect mid-range prices.

$9.90 worth the grilled chicken with sausage. Tasted very good. Chicken is well grilled and tendering.. Sausage is quite salty.. Smash potato is better than Aston. However, portion is quite small and not filling..

Huuuge pork knuckle set! The pork knuckle was a bit tough this time, but I heard it was more crisp on a previous visit. The chicken chop was normal, as were the sausages. The linguine was surprisingly good! Comes with a dollop of sauerkraut as well. Serving is sufficient for 4 pax.

Great German cuisine and beer at relatively affordable price (for German food that is!)
A platter of 2 sausages and a pork knuckle $33 (enough for 3 adults)
1 pint of beer $10 each

What was advertised on Facebook as the lunch menu was declared to be non-existent by the manager at the Toa Payoh branch. And despite the menu, again clearly visible here, they don't sell half-knuckles. And apparently business was so good on Saturday night/Sunday morning, they don't have staff coming in and yet neglected to put a sign up to inform potential customers. Either it's time to review the menu or it's time to review the attitude.

I went to Toa Payoh branch for the dinner. First I would like to compliment the lady I don't know her name for the services render. Very polite and understanding. However I am very disappointed with the food that was served. First give me a platter without the sausage inside until I ask. Secondly give me a rosti without sour cream until I ask. Thirdly give me a spoilt sour cream and replaced with tar tar sauce.. the lady is understanding and refund me the rosti money. Lastly took more then 1/2 hr for lamb shank because have defrost. I think still got a lot of improvement. Hope is better next time.

The service was super good! Owner was very friendly and took initiative to ask us about what we thought about the food. The food was delicious and price cheaper than other places!

Pork knuckle & sausages platter and garden salad were OK, given the price. The vongole was fantastic!

Great beer, good traditional German food, but also a surprising selection of other cuisines. Nice place!

Burnt rosti...service staff came over. We mentioned that it is burnt..but he said, its supposed to be like that. Its black not brown...and fyi, we know what is a rosti and how it should be done. Feedback are for you to improve. Learn how to take them in a good way.
