Visited Wheeler during a Thursday evening for dinner with friends. First time and the ambiance was so good. Nice decoration. There's a live band at outdoor and it was a good one. Just that you need to talk louder when chit chat with your friends.
Food considered great. Ordered Wheeler's signature 'Tomahawk' 1.3kg steak at medium rare. Their BBQ pork jowl was very tasty too but guilty after you ate because it was very fat. Tried their BBQ roasted mushrooms and truffle fries too.
We ordered red wine to pair with the steak. The wine recommendation was however less professional from the team. We are not professional and hope to get some great recommendation but they seem like not very knowledgeable on the wine selection too. Hopefully this portion can be improved. A white wine was added to finish the day.
Overall experience was good and highly recommended.

It's great that things have opened up and such places are thriving again.
Always love the atmosphere and its food! Good outdoor environment for dogs to enjoy too.
Nice to see that they have a band and just to chill with beers. Good for an easy Sunday night before going to work on Mondays.

A lovely ambience with a great outdoor seating area. Food was good. We ordered the roast chicken with siracha, cheese pizza and truffle fries. There is a wide variety of drinks from alcohol to non-alcoholic drinks. The cakes were pretty good too. However, It was hard to get the attention of staff and we were often left waiting for service. A nice place to hang out with friends. Oh and it's pet friendly too!

Good to make reservation for weekend evening slot for live music.
Food is price on the higher end.
But the taste is pretty good.
The live music is good, but mostly Cantonese songs. The vocalists and band are solid.

Love the open space and lush greens here. Lots of drinking opportunity and food is quite good. Parking is very limited and you might end up having to walk some distance like me.

Definitely come here for a really solid brunch and lovely seating outdoors. I really liked my baked eggs, coffee was lovely, and nice burgers and fish and chips. The wait staff is the only part that’s a bit hit and miss, but awesome experience other than that.

Love the quiet location, away from the bustling city. A great place for families & catch up with friends. Food is good especially their homemade pumpkin loaf but there isn't any kids meal. Hope to have more variety on the menu thou.

Very popular nice hang out for a nice dinner with family and friends. As with the various restaurants in the area, the open air environment nested in old colonial black and white houses is what makes the venue charming.
The quality and selection of food is decent, though the quantity for the mains vis-à-vis the price is not that fantastic. Big eaters may need to order more sides. The truffle fries is very fragrant and tasty. The fried squid is one of the better ones around. The pork jowl is tender and easy to eat. Overall a nice place for social gathering. Parking is limited though.

Ambience
This place is huge and has a cafe style on the first level and sort of fine dining on the second level. I personally find that it's a good spot for couples to date as there is a romantic ambience at night.
Food
The food is slightly expensive than most cafes I have been to but I am very satisfied for the food I am paying for. I tried the rib eye steak which was very delicious, fresh and cooked just the way I wanted it to be. Both the sides, mashed potatoes and salad was pretty good as well.
Location
There are only two buses that stops outside of Wheeler's Estate, so it's not that convenient and have to walk a short distance in. It will be convenient if you are driving as there is a car park in the cafe itself.
Service
Great service, polite staffs and will be observant in regards to your needs.
Overall I would recommend this place to my friends and anyone who likes to explore. There are bands that's performing and at the same time enjoy a nice ambience while having your meal. It's a place I would go back to definitely.

Hi! Coming from table L11 on a Sunny Sunday afternoon.
I’ve been here since 1pm and have ordered almost immediately. The staff didn’t even hand a menu and had to grab it off another table.
I’ve seen you serve a burger to the wrong table 3 times over. Which was a hilarious sight in my opinion.
Still waiting as I type this. Cheers guys.
Sincerely,
Your hungry diner

I've been there a couple of times. The food is so good and they have very nice coffee too! The area is peaceful and calm. Secluded away from the bustling city, the ambience at night is great for chilling with friends over a pint of beer. Free parking is a plus point too. Unlike most places, their band is not too loud that you can actually still have a conversation with you friends. Did I mention their music is good too? Worth driving down from the west everytime.

This is the 3rd trip to this nice chill out haven! Firstly, i really luv the ambience, give you the relaxing feeling away from the hustle & bustle city life. Good recommendation for weekend breakfast at the ground floor where parent can eat comfortably & within short 50m overlooking a playground where their kids can run around.
Good chill out place in the night with fairly decent live band to add to the great atmosphere, also love the nicely decorated lights hanging on the tree..definitely a place i would recommend to my friends.
Service wise quite satisfied with the cheerful young service staffs although some are fairly new.
Food wise the usual serving of western foods for most hangouts 3 out of 5 for me..only special mentioned on the "tomahawk" dish which is fairly good for big groups!

Went there on 28th July. Me and my friends came here as a 2nd round after dinner. Plus point is the waiter was polite and he help us placed the birthday cake in a nice tray and gave us the utensils.
We ordered calamari and nachos. Mocktail drink is not so nice. I ordered Mr honey lemon but no honey taste.
Live band singing was too loud. We had difficulties in having conversation. Sound system not so good, sounded piercing when singers hits higher notes. Either singers has to control their volume or get a better sound system.

My family and I had a great time yesterday. We especially enjoyed the seafood and pork main courses; they were very well-prepared. Special mention to the fries on the side - they were just nice and not too salty. The ambience and lighting were great: my wife and my son managed to take some lovely photos KFC the place. We happened to be there during the Wheeler's festival and the music was truly the icing on top. All in all we had a wonderful time and would strongly recommend other families to visit for a good meal together.

Nice place away from the crowd. good ambience. Spacious and cooling at night. Food big portion and so is the price. Parking space is limited but you can park a little further away at nearby restaurants
Holly Matthews Way
Limited hipster menu, none of the good breakfast classics like bacon and eggs or pancakes. Had to order 4 sides just to get a typical "big breakfast". Food is pretty average.

3rd time we came over, first two times had a good experience, this time we were on the second deck due to some reasons. Food was not here for half an hour to 45mins, but it was fine. Requested for my already ordered pot of tea, it was not here as well and the staff can give me a latte instead.
I mean if wheelers estate cannot handle large crowd, please don’t accommodate so many people. Did not had my brunch at all.

We had the most fabulous meal at Wheelers Estate on the 27.03.18. The food not only looked stunning it tasted great. The staff were attentive. Even though the restaurant was not very busy it had a wonderful atmosphere. Its a long way from the UK to go for a meal but we will be back

Great staff and team behind Wheeler's Estate. Big thank you to Vinoth, Daniel, Jeslyn and all the other staff who worked so hard to make our solemnization at Wheelers a truly magical one. Special shout out to our wonderful Chef who prepared an outstanding South American menu and a whole pig - roasted to perfection. Thank you guys! Our day was extra special thanks to you

My boyfriend brought me here to celebrate my birthday, a nice & beautiful place to have dinner.
The aesthetics, environment & music were all amazing. Food is too!
We sat outdoor & the waitress gave us a table with light on us :) (The table beside us is dimmed)
The waitresses were very friendly & go over the way to serve us i.e. advice us to take a photo with the stage as the background instead of other diners, moved the big ass fan out of the way to get a good shot, & helped us bring out the cake with the candles lit!
Both of them wished me happy birthday hehe!
Service was very good. Am pleased with the waitresses! Will visit again :)

Overview
First of all, this is a gorgeous spot and I'm happy that we have such nice environment for food and music and it's family-friendly. Food wise, I think it's not value-for-money, neither is it fine dine quality.
Showmanship
The Wheeler's group has always been Instagram-ready in this Instagram era. From the display of dishes to interior decor, I feel that they have got the formula right.
However, I'm scoring this a two-star based on the following factors:
Taste
We had Teres Major steak, Pull Apart Bread, Peruvian BBQ style chicken, and this seafood spaghetti that I cannot recall its name. (Their website is down and menu from other blogs is outdated.)
At $38 for the tenderloin, I think I'm paying for the fine ingredients but not the taste. Alright, the cherry tomatoes are nicely grilled and sweet but that about it. Sauce is so-so.
The Pull Apart Bread looks yummy from the picture to actual display but unfortunately the taste is actually mediocre. I think the quality of the bread and overall taste still has indoor stadium room for improvements. Bacon is nice and savoury but you dun really need any effort from the chef.
Again, the seafood spaghetti has all the right ingredients but just not quite there at the taste department.
Service
For the price and positioning that they are sending (or at least this is how I feel), the staffs need to know more about the dishes and ingredients they are serving.
Finding the right staffs have always been tough. The Wheeler's group defies location black hole when they first opened at Balestier. Maybe patrons have rich parents and friends to drive them to hard-to-reach locations but I can't say the same for staffs. I guess it's hard to find affordable staffs willing to travel long distance after working for long hours.
Will I return?
Maybe, once in a blue moon during the Wheeler's Festival.

Overall, the environment is nice and Kid’s friendly with a playground when I can see the children from afar. Food are overpriced with not much standard at all. I ordered a breakfast with no sauce on the green, which make it very dry, worse is I found soil on the veggie, I suppose they did not wash the veggie at all. I was resting and watching the children play, and the waitress kept asking if they can keep the plates which is very obvious that there are unfinished food on the plate.

While the Asahi pint was reasonably priced, the effort to accommodate a missing menu item was appalling. They weren't serving fries as a separate item - only when ordered with fish and chips. $26 for a serve of chips!!!! Don't go for the food or the service.

I has organized a brunch for 30 people .. it was very professionally handled .. the brunch food is great .. all my guest liked it .. good service staff ...

Ambience for sure. Nice place. Food taste very average and pricey. For the price of the food, doesn't worth it. Otherwise, all is good.

Cosy place not too noisy with live band 8pm onwards. Best place to chill & enjoy a meal which don't cost an arm & a leg
