Review Teppan Works - Singapore

Highly recommended. Celebrated my girlfriend’s actual birthday at Teppan Works on Christmas Eve. Food is really great and the price is reasonable. The staffs were all very friendly and all the Japanese Chefs were very enthusiastic and passionate about their work. They sang birthday song to us loudly! We felt so welcome and it was a good experience. They even took Polaroid photo for us and gave us a set. Will definitely come back again!

Will give 6 stars if possible. It was a wonderful evening with wonderful food. Everything taste really delicious. The most fun part was the surprise birthday song and Polaroid pics by the chef and staffs for my friend which really made her day so special. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Make a reservation with Teppan Works and indicate that it is for my hubby’s birthday. Did not mention any other request and yet they come up with a pleasant surprise for him (turn out I’m surprise too!!) Had an awesome dinner thanks to the attentive and skilful chefs who make every dish so on point and perfect. Not forgetting the Waitresses who are also very attentive and helpful with our request. Definitely worth the price and restaurant to visit!

Brought my father here for his birthday, and I definitely need to find another reason to come here again! The food here is top notch - my father's omakase set, which featured the likes of wagyu steak and a foie gras mousse, was both excellent, and worth the expense (wash it all down with the sake sangria, if drinks are your thing😏). Combined with the great service (the staff here are lovely), and the charming atmosphere, and this place is a winner! Price will depend on what you're eating - that wagyu omakase is going to set you back at least 98 dollars, but there is also a large ala carte menu that may be easier on the wallet. All in all, nothing less than a 10/10. Would recommend!

It was an amazing experience, food were served at a nice pace. Nicely seasoned and the wagyu beef fried rice coats your tongue like a warm blanket at first mouth.

Food was alright. It can get a little stuffy but it’s expected due to close proximity to the grill. We tried the scallops, oysters and salmon. The scallops were our least favourite. It was cold and incredibly chewy by the time it got to us. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a nice crispy crust on the skin. The oysters were fresh and exploded with flavour. We had the omelette with uni in it. This was fantastic. They’re generous with the uni. Each bite was a treat We got the cheese okonomiyaki as well. Might give this a miss next time. Was a little too rich for our liking. Was too full by the time the yaki soba arrived so we got that to go.

Cosy place with two Japanese chefs handling most orders outside at the teppan counter. Definitely recommend to sit at the counter to watch their work. I especially love their potato salad made fresh on the spot, and their teppan meats. Their okonomiyaki is pretty good too. Wouldn’t recommend karaage though. Felt the batter is too thick

Food quality was good - especially the beef (melt in mouth) and seafood was fresh. Didn’t quite enjoy the cold egg custard nor the okonomiyaki but overall taste of the teppanyaki omakase was fine, and it’s worth a try. However, the place was clearly shorthanded and service was unfortunately lack lustre. Tea was not refilled promptly, plates were not cleared despite being empty/tables were not wiped. We were celebrating a birthday but nothing was done unlike the other patrons in the other reviews. They even just handed us our cake in the box and bag and we had to unbox it and request for a lighter and forks. They didn’t even give us plates 😖 despite us spending close to $500. Of cos they were still nice and polite while serving but overall, it was not attentive AT ALL… neither did we feel particularly welcomed. Would recommend to go if service doesn’t matter to you and you’re ok with just enjoying the food!
