Review Geisha Speciality Coffee - Singapore

Excellent coffee served in attentive barista style, “hole-in-the-wall” place opposite LaSalle, near NAFA. They even have their own bean roaster in the back (see photo)!
Royal Pears
Found the white from this well-established roster to be average. This double shot white, made with their house blend and Meiji milk, had a slight fruity flavour but a strong acidic aftertaste.

Quaint find with a quiet & unpretentious atmosphere. Really decent selection of single origins for pourovers. The owner seems to tend toward V60s... But most importantly, seriously excellent coffee.

I come here a lot for coffee and a quick tasty lunch. They have a simple menu and everything tastes home made and delicious. The noodles are my favourite. The coffee is good and for $2.80, you get a decent cup of americano. Over lunch it gets a bit crowded and there are many regulars. The couple that runs the shop are very kind.

Came here for the mazemen kuro. Great atmosphere and delicious food. Highly recommend for mazemen kuro. -$6.90 If you want to chill in a cafe without people and eat delicious ramen, this is the place.

We are here purposely for a good cup of coffee especially geisha, however stepping into the cafe, the atmosphere and the purpose is not a place for a coffee connoisseur but if you are here for lunch its can be your option. We are susceptible with their coffee therefore we order a very basic kenya and colombia coffee brew in a v60 method. But he only left with pananma geisha( wow) and colombia bean. Because we wont wanna jump into an expensive cup of coffee for 25 bucks, we tried a basic coffee to determine whether should we tried the price geisha beans from panama. Result has shown, burnt coffee taste, without a taste of anything, he didnt even told us when was it roasted, the flavor notes. Its a pure kopi o kosong. V60 Coffee brewing Ratio of 3:50 was the idealalogy but you dont see him weighting his beans and water was taken from his espresso machine behind the counter. if coming down for a coffee especially drip coffee, this place is not their speciality. Given to the name geisha speciality coffee.

One of my favourite spots, old and gold. Timings can be difficult to predict but really friendly nice owner. for those looking, they moved inside the mall to #01-49, just a few shoplot from main entrance.

Great coffee and good ambience. Owner really knows how to roast his beans and make excellent coffee. Great for people who especially like nutty notes in their coffee. Standard of coffee has not dropped over the years.

Not only the best cup of coffee I had in Singapore but probably the best cup of coffee I have ever drunk ! Their home blend from 5 countries is smooth, aromatic, creamy and sweet. The shop looks like somebody's junk room. They are friendly but not overwhelmingly so.The area is not particularly trendy. They sell different coffees but not their home blend -though they are not secretive about it- I really think they missed a commercial opportunity there ... But the coffee !!! I am missing it now and probably will continue to miss it until I can get back there. I hope they stay in business because it might be a year before I can go to Sing again.

While we did have a very good cup of coffee, it was a little disconcerting that nothing was measured, but rather based on eye sight. While some baristas may end up with a uniform product, from cup to cup, there is no guarantee you'll end up with a similar cup of coffee with a different barista. Baring in mind this is probably where you'll buy one if the most expensive cups of coffee in Singapore, I would have expected the more professional approach of using scales. Having water on offer, especially for customers choosing to try more than one varietal, would be good too.

Sauntering into the unassuming cafe was the best thing I did in my coffee exploration journey in Singapore ( while on a work trip ). Ben made the whole experience very meaningful and personal. And I finally managed to taste the famous Geisha La Esmeralda - one ticked off the coffee bucket list ! ;) if you love real coffee then one must visit this place in SG !

Best damn flour-less choc cake I've ever had. Not forgetting that their coffee is prefect, not acidic at all. Thanks for the perk me up!

My favourite place for black pourover coffee. Good selection of good quality coffee beans. Their coffees have distinctive flavours and very balanced. Superb!
