Review Chilli Padi - Singapore

The buffet is value for money. Although the variety is not much, it is OK for us as we are not eating a lot as well. Laksa, kong bak pau, kuih pai tee, rojak, pig intestine soup are all OK and good. Worth going and also for family gathering. The place can be quite ulu though as it is within the compound of NUS.

I was so disappointed with Chillipadi Mui Kheng Road. Used to be my family favourite restaurant. Went there on sunday with 6.family members. The service was so bad and everyone had to wait for their order as there was no self service buffet. As they are short of staff and also some new inexperience staff the whole place was a mess. People get fustrated having to wait so long for their food that they go to the counter to ask their food. A queue was starting to form and the manager was overwhelmed and stressed . We left after having a bit of food as it was just not enjoyable and the situation was just stressful. I don't understand why the management do not bring back the open buffet (now that it is open) so that people can help themselves to.the food and the staff can be relieved of the stress The mee siam and laksa and rojak all was not avaliable Dont know what happen to Chillipadi and will not go back unless they go back to what they used to do before

Excellent food in a private, quiet corner in NUS. We came with kids just an hour before the restaurant closes for the night, and found ourselves enjoying the delicious food at a cozy setting. Our servers were polite, friendly and prompt in serving us our ala carte buffet dishes. Don’t forget to order the prawns, achah and hehbi ladies fingers. We’ll be back again, Chilli Padi.

Had a business lunch on a weekday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised with the good spread of food! Food prepared was fresh and sufficient for the crowd. Ambience is nonya flavoured which I found it to be nice. Weekend spread is different and heard from the friendly staff that it is better. Will be back to try! Enough of words and let the pictures do the talking!

The location is not very accessible, a cosy cafe parked inside Science Park II. Authentic nonya restaurant serving a variety of nonya food. The spread is limited, but reasonable for the price charged. For the main, only the laksa, mee siam and chicken wings taste excellent! The rest are so-so. Guess the highlight are the desserts, such as the kueh lapis, kueh lapis sagu and burbur hitam taste great! Sweet drinks, coffee and tea are free flow.

Food served was very homely and authentic, felt like a CNY reunion spread surrounded by family and loved ones. The a-la-carte buffet dinner spread was nice, I got to try all of the items on their menu. Desserts were simply in-kueh-dible as well! Just a note, their online reservation system isn’t linked to the cafe so best to call their hotline to reserve beforehand.

This place is so awesome! I’m the Japanese and not familiar to this kind of Nonya food but I love it!! Many food are so good to me and dessert was so good. The color of food doesn’t look good but it is tasty!! Shop staff are so nice.
