Very old school vibes to this bak kut teh place. $6.50 will get you a bowl with rice of peppery goodness and free top ups of soup. Great value for a quick bite, no frills and no fuss, just come for the food and nothing else.

No frills. Simple BKT. Garlicky not very peppery. I like this version too. 古早味 x 人情味 The 2 uncles are very nice! 🤣

Typical peppery teochew version BKT, for those who are not picky. Can topup the soup, u just need to ask. Overall it does provided a good warm meal. Price is reasonable for a coffee shop seeing without aircon.

I normally order more .. the pig legs a must ... kidney soup a must ... veg .. their pork ribs are soft and the soup is so Flavourful... tasty in fact. Took many extra bowls of soup .. I’ve been eating here since the 90s and the quality is still there . No frills and also way cheaper than the expensive establishments.. Highly recommend .. try also the pig intestines and steam fish if you can .. For the same stuff elsewhere you have to pay double of what you pay her

came here for the Bak Kut Teh, one of the better BKT in Balestier Road; the other Noodle Shop is so-so only..

I was heading to the Balestier Bah Kut Teh to try but this place pulled me in just by the sheer authentic nostalgic vibe. Didn't regret it as I finished two orders of their Pork Ribs Bah Kut Teh & two cups of rice. Usual Teochew style peppery but the garlic flavor is over powering it--which is great! The uncle is superbly generous in pouring soup on my bowl unlimitedly as he noticed me being in the zone with every sip. The pork can be softer but it's enjoyable nonetheless.
