I had been here a few times. The Sashimi never fails to impress me. They are very fresh, I will always pair them with a bottle of sake. Always come on a Tuesday or Friday for the freshest sashimi. Service is excellent, before the start of the meal, they always offer hot towel to freshen up. The stuffs are always engaging and ensure that you have a comfortable dining experience. Highly recommend and I will be back again. 5 star for a fantastic work.

Chirashi was good. Used entertainer 1 for 1 so it was super worth it. Think there was only one chef on a Saturday night. Very long wait time (about an hour) for our food to come. If you're hungry, you might want to consider going elsewhere. 3 stars due to long wait.

Came here for lunch as we were attracted by their lunch menu set. Lunch set portion was ok, and comes with free drink and miso soup.
As a group of 4, we ordered their curry set, beef don and salmon mentai Don. We were disappointed that pearl Japanese rice was not used for the donburi. That would have changed the flavours for the dish. Curry set was average.
We would not consider coming back because of the rice standard.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon so the restaurant was rather quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for standard Japanese fare, this would be it. Food was good enough but could be served with more flair/oomph especially in the highly competitive market for Japanese food in Sg. Chirashi don did not come with mekajiki and was served with mixed rice which is my pet peeve because I prefer white rice. Lunch sets were quite substantial. Good place to bring your folks/the family for a quiet meal but not somewhere where you would feel excited by the food.

Came here for the weekend ala carte buffet. The chef served one round of everything on the menu: oyster, beef, chicken, pork, scallops, prawn and mushroom. After which, we could order another round of whichever dish suited our fancy. There's also salmons sashimi, fried garlic rice and tempura. We we're so full we only ordered another round of oyster and beef. Food was very fresh and cooked well. Will be back again for sure!

We ordered online from Hokkai Villa thrice and the delivery was punctual, food was clearly labelled & packed and quality was not compromised! Cooked food arrived warm and sauces were well packaged.
I would highly recommend the Hokkai Maki (anyone a fan of Shiok Maki? Trust me, this is the real deal!!), mixed yakitori platter, Salmon Mentaiyaki and Hokkaido Snow Beef don! Premium ingredients were used, such a treat during difficult times! Can't wait to try the other dishes from the full menu!
