This cafe is located on the ground floor of the Aqueen Hotel along Lavender Street.
This cafe serves very good tasting and large serving of westren food come with soup of the day, dessert and tea/coffee/soft drink at only SGD9.90 per person.
If you come in a group of 4, the 4th person is basically free!

Small sitting area but comfortable, total seating space should be about 40pax
For set lunch of 9.99, you get a main course to choose from 5-6 choices (range from chicken chop, lamb, steak, salmon, and 1 more), a soup, and ice cream.
Add 3.99 will give access to salad bar and a drink (coffee n tea need to add a dollar)
Overall food quality is not bad, spread of salad bar is good. Considering all are refillable except for main dish, it is worth the price tag. Portion is good also.
Recommend to try out for a lunch if one is working near by.

One of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed on. very harsh and rude front desk. always having a scowl on their face. checkin was very rude and the lady manning the counter was using a fake american accent and was very rude in her language.
The rooms are very small and the bed is very small too. the highlight of the hotel is the fact that the toilet door does not have any latch and the door in my room was opening on its own when you are relieving yourself. thankfully my belt came in handy and everytime i was going to relieve myself on the toilet, i was holding the door from opening itself. remember, i was in a twin sharing room.
The funny part was that when i complained to the front-desk about the bathroom door, they said that it is by design and no one had complained about that so far.
also, if anyone of you want to experience how to bath in a bathroom of size 1.5 ft x 1.5 ft without getting your ankles fouled, try this hotel.
there is a big construction going on the next door and hence you cannot stay in your room from morning 8:30 Am to 5:30 PM due to the noise. you will get an head-ache within 30 minutes if you are staying beyond 9 AM. the irony is that that next door construction is being done by the same hotel for expansion and hence they could have done some proper sound-proofing instead of just a polythene sheet. or they could have avoided giving the guests the rooms on the side of the construction. but who cares. to hell with the tourist. they are just some goats for sacrifice. let us milk them to the core.

Not worth money.. following is the reason this hotel is not worthy for stay
1) Staff is rude,
2) Room service not available however we can let go this flaw as it was communicated by aqueen staff that in singapore no room service is available in 3star hotel however they provide room cleaning service,
3) The washroom is very small
But the location is good as it is very close to Little India where there are good restaurants for Indians and Mustafa Centre fair price shopping centre

The rooms are always clean and properly organised. The view from the rooms is good and it has a lot of good plces nearby like little india and mustafa. It's also not far from the main attractions.

Good hotel with lot of things missing, like you can't prepare maggi in room. Beds are not comfortable at all. City view rooms are extremely small. Bathroom Towels are very hard.
Breakfast is good. It's safe and near to little India, Mustafa centre and city square mall.

Very friendly and helpful staff for a couple of Brits on a revisit after 40 plus years. Rooms were comfortable and the air conditioning was a life saver. Breakfast served everyone needs but I did miss a full English choice. Maybe something to think about. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
