Cozy little cafe for their multi flavored custard buns and coffee. They also have set meals and food items but still best known for their buns. Custard is my personal favourite, simple but delicious cream.

I had the ginger chicken with rice set which was pretty good, but it was pricey. The shop have a nice touch it which makes it worth visiting for people traveling.
I had the bun custard which was pretty good!!

Hattendo has been lighting up our cafe scene for a few years now with their Japanese blend of coffee, mocha and creamy buns/ sandwiches.
Unfortunately, they will be moving on to another location (I heard still within the vicinity), meantime its 10% off for now till they actually move out.
Hope to see you around soon with an even better range of food & coffee.

Opted for this joint as was looking forward to the custard puff for desserts. Place ur order at the cashier and wait for the beeper, self collect on the other end. Ordered their burger lunch set which was chix chop, opt for fries and topup for matcha latte. Burger n fries were freshly made. Fries dip has hint of truffles which was nice. Overall quite filling, there are also options to hav rice instead of burger but basically the same fried chix which was chopped nicely so u dun eat that messily with such big burger. Seats are limited so do cum early during lunch hrs.

was there for a box of cream bun. waited very long though i am first in q. i think it is understaffed on a weekend in CBD area that might be unpredictable. none the less the queue build up behind me. taste pretty normal will try the coffee next time. *decent lunch set at 15$ crowd do built up

I must admit.. They have the best cream bread in town. You can tell the bread is handmade and the cream's texture is superb. Most importantly is not too sweet. Some cream out there are extremely sweet which makes it sickening after a bite or two.

Went once, and everything was sold out! (2-3pm~) tried my luck on another random day around the same timing and everything was available! Bought custard and matcha buns.
The taste is okay, buns are soft but quite ordinary buns. More custard filling than bun so if you love the custard oozing out this is the bun for you :)

Quaint little eatery with Japanese-inspired eats. Main attraction is the custard buns, but their savoury offerings are good too with the likes of burgers and hot dogs.

I like the red bean cream bun as it got red bean inside. As I have try the lemon cream bun only a bit sour. The strawberry cream bun only is strawberry jam. If have bit of strawberry or lemon inside. Were be damm good.

Shop opening hiccups are commons. But quality of products must not be compromised. Would revisit the shop again to pick up more puffs.

Bun is fantastically soft. Despite custard is the best seller, I personally like azuki beans as it tasted like ice cream red bean.
I had the chance to see the baker do the dough and roll some of the buns. I'm impressed by the machinery. Technology and tradition do come-exist.

[Edit] A customer representative was quick to respond to the below detailed incident and offered satisfactory and quality customer service. Thanks Hattendo Singapore!

Went to the shop on 11th Aug around 3pm, ordered the limited period muffins. Both my 1x physical and 3x takeaway orders were supposed to be Matcha flavoured, I got Kaya flavoured for all of them instead. They were meant to be bought for my friends but the wrong flavours disappointed them instead. I think the stall's batch of muffins were thoroughly mixed up. There wasn't any good way to tell the flavours apart either, unlike the cream buns.

I passed by the shop today around 10.40am,I saw the buns are ready and the staff was sitting around. Wanted to grab a bun and go but was told to come back at 11am as they are not yet opened. There was no sign of opening hours at the door. Point is the buns are already on the shelves and the staff were merely waiting, why would they tell me to walk around and return when they are open in 20 mins?

The buns were awesome. Bought a box home after tasting it on the spot. The service person at the counter is rather cold and mechanical somehow. May need to be more personable before people start to drop out.

The cream is so fresh. I never had this feeling when it enter my mouth. The bun is normal nothing special.

One can only express so much with words. The only way to experience the quality bun and service is to do it in person. Thank you Hattendo for the great bun and satisfactory service. Service was much better before with the original Japanese crew though.

Had a small misunderstanding but tried the custard bun and it was really good -
the custard is creamy and not too sweet, the bun is nice and soft. The coffee was great too. I will return now :)

Because I loved it!! Very soft and tasty!

Had our 1st bite at Takashimaya food fest. A bun, not a "puff", with crème fillings. Bun has a light & fluffy texture and fillings aren't too sweet. Bought all 5 flavours at S$11.50. Really yummy & value for money!
