Four of us had dinner here on a Friday night. The Japanese curry rice is delicious. Sirloin steak is also quite good, but the lean meat was too dry when done in medium. The scallops are so so. Corkage fee of $15 per bottle of wine. Negatives : 1) when we tried to reorder another portion of Japanese curry rice, they said we can’t cause they are short handed and there’s others that have not been served. Should have told us before hand so that we could have ordered more at one go 2) was asked to leave at 8pm cause the restaurant has two seatings for dinner. Wasn’t told before hand. We booked the place for dinner at 7pm but fortunately we came an hour earlier because our golf games ended early. Imagine if we came at 7pm and had to leave at 8pm!!!

Decided to give this place a try after reading so many genuine reviews. The quality of the food is awesome. The steak was the highlight but the rest of the sides and starters were great as well. After going to a few Japanese steak house in Singapore, I’d rank this place as one of the best. The team in the restaurant were great as well. Highly recommended and already looking forward to return to this place.

Best steak I've had in a restaurant in Singapore!!!! Good stuff, I had the ribeye which was quite rich and fatty but done at the perfect medium rare we requested. Would definitely drop by again to celebrate an occasion. It's not super cheap, but it's worth it. Best part is BYO, we got a bottle of red from sheng siong next door and just paid a small corkage fee.

Unassuming and hidden spot tucked in Upper Thomson Road. Trusted quality steak but less wallet-friendly. Simple menu with not too many options. Good for indecisive people. Anyway the main highlight is the steak. You can choose the part Sirloin, Ribeye, etc and each price is clearly reflected. I paid $168 (disclaimer: can’t remember exactly) for a 500g Japanese Wagyu M4/5 Ribeye. The thickness of the cut is exactly what I needed- more than 2.5cm. Thin steaks are not enjoyable for me. The steak was beautifully marbled with even amounts of fat and meat. The taste was great and the amount of salt seasoning was at a golden ratio. I would only comment that the downsides are the lack of drinks and sides, and the prices are higher than other steakhouses in my list. But quality is assured.

Hidden gem in the neighbourhood that serves some amazing Japanese steak. We got the sirloin which was tender & succulent. The scallops were delicious & great value too.

Fuss-free Japanese steak restaurant - really good value for money. Steak is the main thing here. It was excellent (had the ribeye and sirloin), not overcooked and the flavour of the meat really stood out. Sides were great too - had the fries and scallops. Steak sauce was excellent as well - complimented the meat. We had the burrata and tomatoes for a starter which was good too. Dessert was ice cream and coffee which were pretty standard. Only thing that was so-so was the wine and wine list. Could be better but this place does the main thing well - the food! Overall I would say a solid 4.5. Recommend a visit and I'll definitely be back.

Really good quality steaks from Japan at an unassuming shop. The star is the Sirloin steak. Prices don't come cheap - we paid $165 for 500g, but it was really good. You'll get a better steak here than some high class establishments, just without paying for the frills.
