Review Maccha House Singapore - Singapore

It isn't a busy hour however food was served in a manner visually not appealing. I'm not sure if this is standard but judging from the photo it may be difficult to recommend. The ambience is excellent but I don't feel much from service. Pro: Nice ambience Comfy seats Price and quality definitely appealing Easy access bus, metro and taxis Cons: Service and standards are not what I expected specially non busy hour Conclusion: Judging from other reviews it seems most people had problems with the service standards, highly recommend the store owner to step up for their game.

Wide variety of food, desserts and drinks. Affordable prices. We ordered the Beef Sukiyaki, Beef Steak Bento Set and Egg Unagi set. The savoury dishes were average but their desserts are were the stars. Their matcha crepe was not too sweet with a good bitter enough matcha punch. I particularly liked the plain mochi balls. It was soft, chewy and not too sticky. The matcha soft serve had a bitter punch which I enjoyed. However, I feel that it melted too quickly. Clean and cosy ambience. The staffs were friendly and efficient. It was not crowded on a Wednesday evening. I wish to thank the staff for going out of his way to search for a candle from the drawer. He also lent him a lighter so that we could celebrate my friend's birthday. The restaurant scored points with me for their staff's helpfulness.

Had Kyoto Maccha Tiramisu. Thin layer of matcha powder alternating with layers of Kyoto cream and sponge cake. Sponge cake is slightly sweet, and definitely moist. Matcha powder is delightfully strong on its own. Kyoto cream is smooth and milky as it promises (as compared to the normal cream in Maccha Tiramisu), rich but not cloying. Cream is not overly sweet, but a thin layer of it is enough to compliment the bitterness of the matcha powder. But as a matcha lover, i would love more of the matcha powder. Together with ALL the layers of cream and sponge cake, i feel that the overall matcha taste is too mild for me. Close an eye, the texture feels just like a normal tiramisu but with no coffee taste, and for this, disappointingly, hardly any matcha taste. I have to search for it. Given the taste and size (maybe the length of my thumb?), honestly think $9.45 (after GST and service charge) is overpriced. Though i really appreciate that accompanying cup of hot Hojicha (love its roasty notes), which really help cleanse the palate after the dessert. Overall, not impressed, a bit disappointed in fact 😞. Would go back though, to try their matcha soft serve and latte. Everyone deserves a second chance, right? 😅

Lovely place to chill with ur friends and family although I don’t have one but it’s okay, I smile at the beautiful matcha ice cream! Everything is served very fast and I am happy with the food. It’s also affordable for a high tea place in Orchard. I also like the clean place as everything and a waiter attended to us very fast at the queue. Would like to come back to try the mains one day

Matcha desserts and drinks are sweet with sufficient amounts of matcha fragrance and bitterness. Special mention to the soft serve ice cream which was smooth and creamy. Great as a pit stop for weary shoppers looking for some dessert. The place does sell other food such as donburi, udon and light bites (gyoza, takoyaki, karagge) as well. Tables are clean and service is fast.

We tried Maccha House and found the experience very pleasant. The dining area is well spaced out, not cramped like other places and the food delicious and well presented. Price is also surprisingly reasonable! All in all I will highly recommend this restaurant for dining

Love the Matcha latte and tiramisu here. Very thick and smooth. Currently there is a special promotion by ordering 2 sets of meal, plus 2 drinks and 1 dessert will entitled $10 off from the total bill. Service provided is good as well. Keep it up!

Maccha House @ Orchard Central is huge which has a spacious space to dine in comfortable at. I tried their Teriyaki rice. Their onsen egg make an impression to me and goes interesting well with the teriyaki chicken. However the place is slightly small and I need to eat with care so that the egg does not fall out of the plate. It comes together with a salad, miso soup and a small portion of a sweet red bean with white rice ball dessert. I would love to try their green tea ice cream and matcha latte next time when I am there. #ILoveMacchaHouse
