This is a heavily underrated restaurant. The food is amazing and awesome taste. I feel the best South Indian homely meals is served here in Singapore.
They are serving food with passion and it reflects in the taste of the food.

It is always an "Go-to" place for full course tamilnadu special meals. The food tastes so good that it is homemade and it tastes better when you go in a group of friends. The hospitality is awesome and the grandfather out there takes care of every single customer through serving.

Best Tamil meal in Singapore. Little know the place that if you don’t mind the lack of decor, I would highly recommend.
Simple, tasty and healthy (not oily) food one can eat every day - I almost do. 😉

I have tears in my eyes as I finish this thali. Food was so good I could feel the maternal love in every morsel. Thank you starting this restaurant, value for money, unassuming and delicious, the way it should be.

I loved going to Mani Iyer with my friends before 3 yrs. Now what is the changes with management or anything I am not sure. The service is not acceptable from last time. Previously she as 1 lady handles everything. But now got more people still not feeling pleasant or satisfied. Nobody is even smiling at customers.
Whatever, the food good quality and taste is same yesterday today and forever

Don't get trapped with the words "Iyer" and "Mess". South Indian meal is $11 and nothing else during lunch hours which is definitely not worth for the choice of vegetables they offer (mostly cabbage, potato, carrot). Special note for the people who plan for Catering service. It was a real mess for our event like delayed delivery, so many follow-ups, delivered something else than we ordered, taste is not good, etc. We ordered sweets (and paruputhengai) which is not even with basic standards. I returned to them on the next day in person. They just taken it back without any guilt of failing a event and no money return.

Authentic Indian food. Normal ambience.
It feels like home cooked food and they treat you as if your at home. They are also very flexible with their sides. They will replace the chutney and sambaar for yogurt and pickle if you want. The paratha are phenomenal. It tastes so crispy and fluffy. It is spread out equally and is thinned to perfection. If you want another piece of poori or dosa they will bring it to you in a basket just like how you do it at home.
The options are vegetarian and affordable.
However, the hygiene can be improved enormously.
Overall, a good place to eat authentic Indian food

I went around 1.30 PM on Saturday to try variety rice. They served with more curd rice and small portion of Curry Leave Rice and a small portion of another variety even I couldn’t guess what it was. Also they served Kesari and 2 more curries but a very little. Only Curry Leave rice seems okey. Other varieties even didn’t reach a min level. It cost 8.5$ and felt too expensive for what I had in the plate. Try searching for better place if you want to try variety rice. Service is okey. But, chairs are too messy close to each other.
