Review Bari-uma - Singapore

Satisfying bowl of ramen, but they could be more generous with the add-ons (particularly spring onions). I ordered their light tonkutsu broth option and it was hardly as satisfying as the original rich broth. Wish I can say I knew better but there shouldn’t be such a big difference as some are unable to stomach the richness of an entire bowl of pork broth. The light broth tasted just like soyu sauce with some water, while the rich broth was well.. porky and rich so everyone should just get that instead. Texture of the noodles is excellent but the meat was slightly tough for me.

One of the best freshly made Ramen outlets in our area ! Great noodles and soup stock custom made to your requirements. Don’t forget the sides too! See pics. Like gyoza. I also chose the seaweed option w the Ramen which was very nice to dunk into the broth. Enjoy !

Decent quality ramen. The pork broth is thick and flavorful and the gyoza is very nicely prepared too.

Cosy place with rich ramen soup. The noodles a little bit too hard. Add $2 for additional bowl of noodles. Gyoza is realllyyyyy good. Service is fantastic. Free flow ice water too.

Been wanting to try this place after reading about it online so I came here since I was in the area. The Bari Uma ramen may seem small in terms of bowl size but the amount of noodles is quite sufficient even for a big eater like me. The soup may seem really thick (think concentrated collagen soup) but the flavour is surprisingly rich yet not overwhelming or salty. The thick slice chashu has a nice grilled flavour and I also like its firm texture as compared to some versions elsewhere which are more fat than meat. There is no corn in this version of the ramen so I topped up for a full plate of it. The only thing which I think can be improved on is to have more spring onions. There are lunch set promotions which come by default with green tea and another side dish. I chose the gyōza which is done pretty well - crispy on one side and succulent on the other with a nice filling. The sauce which comes with it is a bit lacking though but the gyōza is good enough to eat on its own. The karaage looked not so appetizing when it was served because the colour was so dark and I was worried that it was overcooked. Luckily, the chicken was still juicy and tender despite the slightly charred appearance. It might be nice to have a sauce or even just a mixture of pepper and salt as a dip since the batter lacks flavour. In conclusion, I was rather satisfied for a first try and hope to be back to try the chicken-based ramen next time.

Bariuma was established in 2003 in Hiroshima. Their passion is to create the Best ramen in each order. To make the ultimate tonkotsu soup, exquisite ingredients like pork and chicken bones, simmered in a special large pot for more than 8 hours. Finally the soup is mixed with high quality soup sauce in order to achieve the sharp and distinct flavour for their “ ultimate tonkotsu shoyu ramen”. ,. Let’s see what Both of us had 1. Nori Tama-uma S$16.90++ Pork flavoured shoyu soup with thick cut grilled Chashu, seaweed and flavored egg. This is the BEST ramen I tried in Singapore. The soup is so rich and thick yet it is not too salty. It taste really Great, yet not overwhelming, I finished all the ramen and soup and still crave for more 💪🏻 That’s how awesome it is 😋. And even after I finished taking my photos, the ramen still piping hot. I am impressed with how their ramen maintained the temperature. The ramen is chewy and of the ideal texture. The chashuis tender and flavorful too. We absolutely enjoyed everything about this Excellent bowl of ramen.👍 2. Tori Karatama -uma S$16.90++ Chicken flavoured spicy soup, grilled chicken and flavoured egg. The soup has quite a amount of chilli oil, so it is Spicy and shiok. ,. 3. Japanese claypot rice Chashu S$9.90++ The Chashu is tender, and flavorful, mixed it well with the egg and delectable sauce. 4. Yakitori Combo S$13.90 ++ The sauce is not overly sweet. Need to wait 10min for this. I prefer the chicken more than the pork belly. The chicken stick is succulent and gorgeously charred on the outside. 5. Tartar karrage 4pcs S$7.90 ++ Crispy on the outside, chunky and succulent chicken meat with tar tar sauce. 6. Gyoza 5pcs S$6.90 ++ I like the gyoza with crispy skin. 7. Matcha ice cream S$2 ++ matcha ice cream to finish off with this very enjoyable and highly satisfied. Review posted on my IG: Yummymich

Good ramen, the broth is thick and delicious, the noodle is medium hard and chewy which makes a good slurp, you can add more noodles if you're still hungry, overall experience good, definitely one of the better tonkatsu ramen in Singapore, would recommend! I had difficulty try to locate the shop hahaha, the entrance is actually from outside the mall

Love it! You can see them making fresh noodles behind a glass screen. People might find Kara Tama Uma spicy, but I really loved it. The broth isn't exceptional still its good. Gyōza is good too. Service is good.
