Toast Box is a cafe located in Jewel Changi (shopping mall), Singapore. The restaurant serves a wide variety of local delight including laksa, toast, teh (tea), coffee, cakes, etc. The price is reasonable and the food tastes good. The teh is a must try! Would appreciate staff to let us know that there’s no peanuts and cucumber available even if it’s just early in the morning . Just plain rice and chicken with egg doesn’t do much justice for nasi lemak . Asked the staff why there’s no peanut and they just told me no more left .

Ordered 1 prawn noodles, the staff asked me if I want to have a set. I said no. And continue to order 1 kaya toast and 1 thick peanut toast. I also mentioned I would like to have a warm milo and ice Teh C for the drinks. He did not ask me if I want set for the next 2 orders. I thought the consensus will be that it will be a set. Since I also told him the type of drink I wanted.
End up he give me all ala carte and I have to go back twice to check on the eggs until another lady tell me I did not order set so there is no eggs for you.
I thought if the cashier is unsure, maybe he could have ask me if I want a set for both my kaya toast and thick toast. Since he know how to ask for my prawn noodles. What’s with the inconsistency.
Overall quite disappointed with the service crew. I can understand if the shop is packed. But when I was there, there wasn’t much people around.

Long waiting time and did not key in correct orders. Was told to wait additional 45 minutes after their opening time for the cooked food to be ready (eg. Laksa, Mee Rebus). Overall poor customer service and dining experience.

Rude staff. I requested kaya toast without butter. He gave me the wrong order(which contains butter). When I went back to request for a change, he insisted that there is no butter until I unfolded the bread and showed him. Not only he didn’t apologise but gave a disgruntled face.

This is the worst tea i ever drink ,i guess the standard has drop beyond compare.
It is warm water with mild tea flavour, with the price i paid ,i rather go fun toast which taste much like a cup of Tea .

I’m a huge Toastbox fan and I practically have breakfast every morning at the J8 outlet. I had to send my wife to the airport yesterday morning and we decided we weren’t going to miss our routine. We arrived at 6am and there was only one customer at the outlet. We proceeded to the tables after putting in our order. We were surprised to see how dirty the tables were. Food and coffee stain on the tables. The staff could have cleaned the tables and topped up the empty soy sauce bottles but instead I guess they had something else to do. When the food came, it really fell short of expectations. Peanut butter toast was hardly toasted. Considering that there was no line and no other customers, the staff could have put in slightly more effort but I guess they had something more important to do. All in all, it was a disappointment. I hope the next time I visit I will have a better experience.

It’s 5pm on 6th July 2022, ordered the worst tea I had ever tasted. Should have t given one star but the kaya toast saved the day.
