Review Punjab Grill - Singapore

Varun Sahai
A li'l bit pricey but then you are also paying for eating at Marina Bay Sands. Had a good time with family and friends. The complementary dishes were nice, specially the paan shot.

Had the vegetarian version of power and executive set lunch. I think food is decent with nice presentation. Not bad.

Great Indian food with an element of surprise, excellent service , very friendly staff!

Had the 3 course vegetarian set meal. Amazing flavors! Perhaps the finest Indian cuisine in Singapore.

Worst service experienced at punjab grill where the spoons were also not washed properly. Quality of food I would say zero and service - 0.drinks were brought in hands very unhygienic.i wasted my hard earned money 😔😔

The smell of spices is overwhelming the moment you step into the restaurant and your intial thought is that the decor and set up looks a little dated. Fret not cos the service is good and the food is really tasty! Their sauces and chutneys are very well balanced and the set menu is exceptionally well priced for the amount of food that was served. 2 of us shared the set menu and couldn't even finish! Downside is that we were not told before hand that we can't take away anything from the set menu and it was quite sad that we had to leave the food behind because we were both too full. So I would advise to order lesser than you'd expect instead of wasting food. Cocktail was not nice so perhaps order a beer instead. Overall, I may return again!

Came here for the power set lunch and had 1 veg and 1 non veg. Both were amazing and had amazing range of flavours. Best Indian restaurant in Singapore hands down!

I have been to Punjab Grill for weekend set lunch few times before. While the food is expensive, I always enjoyed the experience - variety, presentation, ambience and service. My visit yesterday was a big dampener. The menu items have changed (fewer items, fewer starters, lesser mutton and chicken pieces in biriyani, lesser items for dessert and that too wasn't of good taste, no paan shot etc.). The cost still remains the same. While I understand cost pressures (especially post-CoVID) may have led to such rejigging the menu, it felt short of my expectations. I would not recommend this place now.

This restaurant had worst food service in all over Victoria. I ordered a starter which had the least requirements for a Punjabi taste as i am a traditional Punjabi. That ruined the whole dish and the satisfaction of me as a customer at this restaurant. I was in a hurry and had to take a bus home at night time. The order took an unbelievably one hour and ten minutes just for a starter. I had a lot of expectations from this cuisine. But I ruined my night on my way back home and being fed just due to the shabby hospitality of this cuisine . In addition the waiter had started to argue with me even though they knew their mistakes. Also, i did not get any discount after the worst service i experienced. At last, I don't recommend any gentleman to dine at this shabby cuisine. It shouldn't even be called a poor man's shack.

The classy and expensive Indian food place. The food is delicious. The plating and presentation is very good. A good experience with good ambience and staff. Must visit. Most curries are delicious. Try the spinach dishes.

Went to have lunch here yesterday with a couple of friends. The outlet is amazing and the quality of the food is great.
Would definitely recommend this outlet.

We dined here last night when we were at the Marina Bay Sands . There was no waiting and we were seated immediately. Lovely ambience . Didn’t have a large appetite, so we ordered entrees and skippe d starters . But we were given a beautifully plated potato patty as complimentary starter and also papads to go with it. Our palak paneer and breads were perfectly done and delicious, food was non greasy and not heavy too. The complimentary paan shots at the end of the meal was delicious too. Would have given a 5 star had the prices been wallet friendly. I understand it’s fine dining, but the menu is pricier than Michelin starred Indian restaurants in SF.
Waiters were friendly but slow to get us started and checked out.

I visited this restaurant after many people suggested, the price was somehow high to bear but the food was as delicious as heard. Thier Punjabi Thali and Butter Chicken was more than amazing. Lastly, they will serve you a dessert which is fantastic. I loved this restaurant.

I’m on a vacation in Singapore. And having heard of Punjab Grill in Abu Dhabi as one of the best Indian restaurants in the UAE, i had to try it since I’m in Singapore. Honestly it’s all i expected to be. Amazing food, the service was great. I tried the murgh tikka punjab grill which was great, but what really blew me away was the fish curry, it was absolutely amazing, and ordered samosa for starter, i loved it, and they also served us a complimentary dish which was a one biter sensation. Ras malai was amazing. No wonder why the ratings of it are this high.

My days are incomplete without having a oily and spicy 🌶 filling Indian 🇮🇳 meal 🥘 that makes you drowsy 💤 and urges you to burp 😛, so on my trip to Singapore 🇸🇬 which lasted really long I had that crash craving for Butter Chicken 🐓 and this place was #1 on my list to do so as I am familiar with there food back home in India, so I went for it and man Butter Chicken with Garlic Nan out there tasted better than one you come across anywhere so it was one heavenly experience for me truly
Lakshay Banga
The favourite place in singapore for north indian food. This place never disappoints me in terms of food and ambiance. The presentation is really nice and quantity of food is sufficient as well!

Over promise and under delivery

I have been to this Punjab Grill in Marina Bay Sands three times now, each time really wanting to like this place, however, couldn’t. I was really underwhelmed compared to what it promised and it’s prices.

Following is my rating of each item at this place:
Paneer Lababdar: 2/5, really thick artificial gravy without any flavour to it.
Dal panchratni: 3.5/5, okay but felt like the ingredients used were not the best quality
Tadke wali dahi: 4.5/5, really amazing. Had lot of different flavours and tasted wonderful
Makki ki roti: 1/5, didn’t taste like makki at all. Seemed like flour used was old. There was no makki fragrance or taste. Looked like normal roti with yellow colour added.
Tomato shorba: 3/5, fragrant but felt like artificial flavours and thickeners were added. It wasn’t true tomato and dhaniya shorba.
Gol gappe: 3.5/5, extremely bland. Nothing like how they should be. The salted ones were decent but the sweet ones were pathetic.
Value for money: 2/5, you can get similar or even better food in many other places in Singapore, for much less.
Ambience: 3/5, mix of warm and cool lights, gives a very weird confused look to the place. Overall good ambience however the kitchen looked dirty and random people kept walking in and out of the kitchen and the restaurant.

The one in marina bay sands is one of d worst places to go with really bad attitude staff. Just not worth it! We went there on our first anniversary night dinner and they said they were closed! It was almost 45 mins bfre the restaurant actually closes. We had reconfirmed from the marina bay sands restaurant guide as well! We had come all d way just to eat Indian and we told this to d staff there as well. Too bad attitude and service! Never recommend it to anyone .

1st time had Indian dishes, and actually not bad.
The place very cozy and relaxing, good service.
We ordered
* seafood platter
The food is nice, taste was there however the quality of the prawn need to be improve.
* khadai jeenga - prawn curry
Love this. Perfectly balance, not overpowering each other. Can taste the different mix of the ingredients.
* rasmalai - cottage cheese dumplings. Not my cup of tea unfortunately.
* flat crispy round bread (don’t know what it called) - love it 😍👍
The crispiness and spices - just perfect. Similar to nachos 😍

Overall was good
📍Punjab Grill
Downtown, Marina Bay Sands Singapore

This restaurant never disappoints me!! I've been to other Punjab Grills in India but this one in Singapore has the best quality and their food tastes delicious. Love the ambience too. A little too pricey but you won't mind paying for the quality. Great place to dine out on a special occasion.

I love this place in Singapore, very very good restaurant, nice food, nice ambiance. Value for money, they got lots of varieties and all are awesome 😊

Ambience is great at the restaurant, although the air-conditioning was freezing. However, food is pricey and they need to train their staff to interact better with patrons, especially with questions on the menu itself. There appeared to be only one guy who knew what was happening at the table. Overall was ok.

The Damage (no drinks): S$120-160 for two

Classy Indian eatery in the Marina Bay Sands Shoppes that has a bevy of contemporary Indian dishes. Pricing is expensive given where its located. Service is great however. We liked the Chicken Tikka Quesadilla and Paneer Labadar

~~TRY😍:
// Chicken Tikka Quesadilla [winner!]
// Murgh Makhani
// Paneer Labadar [runner up!]

Follow us at IG: eatsmorefun

Food:
Taste - 7.5/10
Presentation - 9/10

Service - 7.5/10
Price - 6/10
Ambience - 6/10

The restaurant is situated in Marina Bay Sands. We went late for dinner after sight-seeing. Food is good but overpriced. Staff was friendly, polite and courteous. Service was a bit slow.

Being a typical delhiite and a punjabi you always fancy visiting Indian restaurants abroad to satisfy your craving for Indian tikkas n masala, while on holiday with family we decided to visit this signature Indian restaurant at Marina Bay Sands ad it turned out to be hopeless, nowhere close to our imagination and very expensive...not at all worth 800 SGD that we spent on 3 adults and two kids !!!
Manishabhadana
Dal makhani was nice but paneer was not up to the mark Raita was nice. Overall food was okay. Friendly staff. Neat and clean place. Atmosphere was good.

Being on a vacation after a few days you do feel like having Indian food and with the wellknown brand like Punjab grill we thought it’s the best option but to our disappointment.
We were a group of 7 .. 4 adults and 3 children and plus our couple friends were vegetarians.
We ordered couple of platters to start with and some butter chicken , chicken tikka Masala, paneer and their signature Black dal
Believe me never had such a bad food with so much soda that after feeling all of us felt uneasy in the stomach and didn’t even enjoy the food as taste was no where close to what we get in India.
Assuming that chains maintain their standard and flavours this was below par.
So have obviously been to Punjab Grill in India and enjoyed the speciality Indian restaurant. In this part of the world as well, it checks the boxes on food variety and the flavors are there as well.

Our mix veg, dal, paneer weren't bad per say. What could've made the experience stand out it's service, that unfortunately didn't do justice to the place. Granted we were on a large group, and there were others as well, the wait and lackluster service was a disappointment.

Look forward to next time and a surprise too.

One of the best Indian restaurants to be in Singapore is this. I have visited this place everytime I am in Singapore.
You will get many options to choose from the menu.
I love having Palak panner and murgh makhani in main course along with terkari kesari biryani.
Try out Ras malai and phirni here.

Expensive?Yes it's in Marina Bay.
Exclusive? Yes it's in Marina Bay Sands.
Unique? May be for those who want to have a first tryst with North Indian food in confines of their hotel staying at MBS. For others, there are options through the city

Fantastic place, great ambience, excellent service. Punjab grill gave us wonderful experience on our anniversary day. We have 3 course meal and everything was tasty, well balanced dishes. Starters to desert all good.

We had the 5 course degustation menu each. It costs $98. Pawan, our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. The main course was a bit much. We were struggling by the end of it but the food was just exceptional. They tailored the menu to suit our dietary needs. I am a pescatarian and my other half is allergic to nuts.

I came here want to try indian food. The place is very beautiful filled with chandeliers with the dominant brown color. I love the lamb grill and the bread is fragrant. Really nice. His dessert should also be tried.

Welcoming with a potato based complimentary starter, the place makes you ready for a delicacy ride with the flavour of North India in every single bite.

Located in the B2 of Marina Bay Sands, this place is a must go for all Indian lovers.
Their Paan shot is amazing.

The food we ordered was
1. Paneer tikka
2. Dal makhani
3. Kadai Paneer
4. Breads.

It was one of the best experiences in singapore. A great experience in totality!

Recommended - Dal Makhani.
Pocket pinch- High

Pocket Saver- Download the app 'Entertainment' to get one dish free. Really helpful they are.

The restaurant has a decent decor. Appreciated the lighting.
Service staff were friendly.
Papads were not roasted properly and and a awkward taste to them.
Ordered C tikka it had too much of a masala taste.
The channa bindhi masala again too much spice and very oily, though it tastes good.
The C Biryani was a large portion but did not have the taste it should have.

Punjab Grill is famous for its Superb Quality and Superb Taste. Be it in India or Singapore, Punjab Grill is the best option of Indian food one can have.
Been here multiple times, bit costly but believe me its totally worth it.
