Review Skyve Wine Bistro - Singapore

So so experience for me. Not worth the trip to visit this place in my opinion. Was there for Saturday brunch. Half empty. Mostly were foreigners. Limited menu. Corn beef was rather disappointed. But truffle fries was yummy though. Desserts was below par. First and last time for me.

Quite an expensive meal if without the entertainer app. Only selected items can be used under entertainer app (see image attached). Tried all the main course and the best is the hibachi pork. My lamb is a little chewy for medium done. Food generally nice but no wow factor considering its price. Nice ambience and live music on the Friday night I visited.

Have not gone back to Skyve for a long time (Google reviews wasn't even the in thing yet!). I had the pleasure of good company for a revisit yesterday. Skyve still looks the same. A pleasant and comfortable surroundings that makes it straight out of someone's well designed living room! Service was great. The maitre' d is quite a character, jovial, knowledgeable and patient. Definitely one of the better ones I have come across recently. Food presentation was high quality but it's was somewhat let down by the food quality. The starters are still very good but I believed it fair to say the mains have suffered a little since my last tasting that many years ago. While flavourful, that was a sense of over-exuberance on the saltishness and sweetness. I had the duck confit...beautifully pan charred and tasted nicely gamey but the saltishness as an afterthough was a tad overpowering. Another mains that we had was the cod...again cooked to the right doneness but the soy miso sauce was too sweet, detracting from the pure taste of the cod. Pity really as there's so much potential for Skyve. The smoked duck salad as a main wasn't half bad. Really smokiness to the duck meat. Overall this is such a chill n relax eatery, I'll visit Skyve again and pray hard that the chef will go easy on the saltish and sweetness. 3.5 stars

Great food, excellent ambiance, spacious dining space, and good service. Cannot ask for more for a restaurant in town! Of course it can be quite pricy, but they are part of the Entertainer, and using the app makes the meal perfect in all aspects including price! The tap water can be improved as it has a funny taste, and the water to order is outrageously pricy.

The Kurobuta Pork Burger is so good. Venue is very quiet for weekend brunch and we really like it. Will be back if we are looking for a relaxing meal again.

A nice environment with large spaced tables. Breakfast burger has a sizeable beef patty and delicious fat truffle fries. We were a table of 9 and the kitchen took about half an hour to get all our dishes ready to be eaten together.

If you are after a super quiet and chilled place to have breakfast on the weekend, this is the place to hang out. Food + coffee pretty decent with interesting take / spin on local favourites.. recommended!

Nice and chill place for brunch. Not as crowded as other cafes. Food was decent but serving size could be bigger.
