I found this restaurant while walking along Killiney road (for the first time for me), attracted by back in the days era deco + affordable price for buffet 18.8++. I didn't particularly like steam fish, braised chicken, chicken feet and cabbage but the rest was quite tasty, especially beef stew. Some of desserts were surprisingly nicer than expected and I also liked coconut icecream a lot. Definitely can come back again for sure at least I know which ones to choose next time!
Very dated Chinese restaurant serving Teochew porridge buffet.. the ingredients were nice but honestly at 22 it is not cheap. Yes you get to binge eat fried snapper , chicken and pork which is nice and the “Liao” like their tau pok and Muay Cai is really nice but 22 cannot beat the value of buffet like Aston’s salad bar. Mango sago, cakes, fruits and ice cream is surprisingly nice and so the 1 more star in an otherwise 3 star review
Wife found this place serving Taiwan porridge and we decided to come here to give it a try
The restaurant still checks for vaccination status via TraceTogether and also provides plastic gloves to customers to grab their food servings (nice!)
The porridge comes with standard dishes best served with it , like trotters, garlic stir fry fish, prawns, toufu, chicken feet etc
Even fruits and simple desserts makes the buffet lunch complete:)
Definitely a place worth coming back if you truely love porridge and dishes
Thumbs up for the find !
