My first ever visit to this place. Said I wanted some authentic Japanese food, and was brought here by a Japanese friend. Did not expect to find a Japanese restaurant in the midst of an Indian community locale.
The Takoyaki making experience was nice, and the Nagoya fried chicken and Okonomiyaki were delicious. I also liked both the grilled squid and the grilled mentaiko squid.
All in all, a great dining experience. I will come back.
Hidden gem located at Little India. Greeted with a very warm welcome at the entrance! First impressions psssed! This is my first visit to the restaurant and I'm truly impressed. Friendly and efficient staff. Food was excellent and my cravings satisfied! The soufflé is a Must-Try! Highly recommended!
Amazing experience here with my group of friends! Staff cooks everything infront of you with precision, every dish came out looks yummy and tasted scrumptious 😋
Their attentiveness to our needs were more than met here, our tea was always getting refilled and food was always taken cared of, we did not have to lift and single finger. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, 10/10!
Really good place for teppanyaki. Came here twice now. The first time was because I have been wanting to eat some decent okomiyaki for a while. The second time, I brought friends to try more stuff. The yakisoba and beef here is absolutely delicious. The staff and owner are exceptionally friendly and you can tell the owner is really proud of his business and the food that he serves.
We tried Seiwaa in group of 5 pax.
Reservation is strongly advised and can pick between normal table or hot plate table.
Do note that the smoke can sting eyes after some time.
We ordered:
1) Tepanyaki meat set - the marination is good 👍🏻
2) Tepanyaki seafood set - fresh
3) Okonomiyaki - mini 3 flavours set, tried veggie, tom yung, mixed pork/seafood. Like tom yung the best and is quite spicy for me.
4) Katsu platter (6pcs) - I miss Osaka, but tasted nowhere near.
5) Yaki soba - guess is soba, find the noodle too thin and cooked too wet.
6) Garlic fried rice - garlicky but rice texture lacking.
Overall I find the sizzling experience very satisfying, love the Tepanyaki meat set and Okonomiyaki best!
Cane here with 5 other friends. Food was great, service staff were friendly. There were small hiccups during the service process as it seemed like there was insufficient manpower, but overall a pleasant experience.
Ate 5 okos with other side dishes for 6 of us, each oko is quite filling. Recommend Pork and Tom Yum oko.
Booking for hot plate tables needs to be done in advance, I booked 2 weeks early and all the 7-8pm slots were taken. Would come again for hotplate experience.
Okonomiyaki was gud. I had the seafood which was $16 and the experience together with the taste was worth the money! However I would not recommend getting the Teppanyaki. Paid $12 for 5 slices of very average pork meat.
