To be honest, Yoshinoya was not what I had in mind when I was finding a place to eat. However, every other restaurant seemed to have queue. Yoshinoya on the other hand, was not crowded even though it was close to dinner time.
They had a student meal for $8, which came with the beef and rice, miso soup and a drink. I would say that the dish was pretty tasty. These beef dons are usually pretty pricey at other places so it was considered a steal here.
I would say that Yoshinoya has greatly improved over the years. The last time I had it was years ago when it still had its old branding. It is definitely not exceptional in any way, but it is something that will fill you up. It will also not hurt your wallet as the prices are pretty reasonable.
My husband helped me to takeaway a fish burger and it still tasted nice after 30mins! 😆👍🏻 The box packaging is much better & atas than the old wrapper style!

The food is nice, the service a bit disappointed. The whole dining room was served by one person. Many customers turned away for waiting too long at the door. When in need, no one around to serve, the waiter is always busy. He the only one that is cashier, take order, clean table, and escort new customers to their table. As the kitchen work, if not wrong, are only 1 person as well...
