Is Yakun kid friendly? What to order at Yakun for kids. 1) Jacobs Biscuits Sandwich with Butter Not exactly healthy but this simple yet delicious snack 😋 is a fave amongst kids. 2)Kaya Bread Toast The obvious choice at Yakun for kiddos and adults alike. 3)Cheese Balls You can't go wrong with cheese balls. Simple treat for the young ones. But....the seating is almost always occupied on weekends. Place is cramped and not really suited for children especially young ones to hang out. So get ready to wait or come early to avoid the crowd. They are open as early as 8am!

Consistent yakun kaya toast if you're around the area. I think they are especially useful if you're here shopping at Thomson Plaza, that you also stop by for some good kaya toast with butter. Prices are reasonable, and quality really is extremely value for money. The soft boiled eggs are somehow monstrously large, for some reason.

Much better than the one which was the Yakun Family Cafe. The tastes of coffee and the toast are consistent and the servers are more friendly compared to the other cafe. It is a good welcome. Competition is good even with the same brand. My favourite was the Wangs but for the moment they are closed under renovation. The previous cafe in the present Yakun, I guess, could not survive, in this trade. There is a very efficient layout of the preparation area and the ways the work flow. Of course the culture of the firm that practise good service and consistent food content will be preferred over any new comers. Many youngster that have the dream of owning a cafe and be their own boss, will easily burn more than 100K in setting up a single cafe the size of this new one. The late owner of Beef King, once revealed that his initial capital outlay was 200k for his stall at Lido basement.
