I hate starchy food but I simply can’t resist this Lor mee, it’s like falling in love once again!

Best lor mee I have ever had. The gravy does not get watery at all. The $4 bowl is the most value for money; with ngoh hiang, fish meat, fried fish skin, fish cake and pork pieces. The sambal packs a mean punch if you love a little spiciness.

4-4.5 stars. Food quality: Nicely done noodles with fried fish skin, wanton, fish cakes (no ngoh hiang as requested for no pork). Tasty and nicely done, this stall stands out due to these ingredients! Garlic, starchy paste which may not be suitable for some people. Food portion / Price: $4 is the smallest bowl with average amount of ingredients, will probably need more food to supplement for a meal. 4-4.5 stars. Service: Order, pays and collect your food Crowd: Expect a crowd especially during meal times. Payment: SG QR or Cash accepted.

Nice thick gravy and great presentation of this old dish that is a rare find. Though this is the first time trying this stall, I could not find any serious fault with this dish. Not the best but definitely, a class above your average bowl. A great find for me in this part of Singapore.

Disclaimer: I'm not usually a fan of lor mee. Probably my first lor mee in the last 10 years, and I must say I enjoy this a lot more than I thought I would. I added extra vinegar and extra chilli to give the sauce more punch and oomph. Sauce initially looked very starchy but didn't taste so. The bowl came with pork chunks, fishcakes, fish skin, fried wonton, fried fish and ngo hiang. Highly value for money!

1st time tried this stall, Lor mee with fish skin. Apparently, the fried stuffs are a bit salty especially the fried fish. Not the skin. Overall, still not bad.

Found the broth a little too thick until we mixed the chilli and vinegar with it. It was really good. At $6/- a bowl, we think it was worth the short wait.

Ordered the $5 bowl and it was really filling. It has lots of ingredients and I love the addition of fish skin which is my first time having fish skin in lor mee. The gravy is not overly starchy which is great and taste wise is not so strong. If you can't take spicy, tell the auntie because it can be quite spicy. The addition of garlic and vinegar makes the soup more flavourful. Came around 1.30pm on weekday and surprisingly no queue. A comforting bowl of lor mee overall.
