Went Q-WA with my friends and it was an enjoyable experience. There's only 1 person servicing in the izakaya but we were impressed by her service and efficiency. I would recommend the fresh water baby crabs, grilled Japanese squid and especially the pork skewers. The way the food is spiced is exotic and interesting, in a very good way. You can taste the bliss of garlic spice in the skewers, bursting charcoal infused aroma with every tinge of the salt. Cozy setting, enjoyable time with good food... Would go back again!

Food were delicious. Service is good, I will come back again! Apart from snack bite picts which are freshwater baby crabs (batter is fragrant and just the right amount, these miniatures are such delicacies!) And marinated sotong (again batter is tasty and just righf amount, marinated with tangy sauce). Skewers ordered but did not take pict, and would recommend: •Beef with salt and pepper •Grilled fatty Ox tongue •Quail egg with bacon •Mushroom cheese wrapped with bacon •Chicken meatballs •Pork belly shio YAsai (cabbage) raw dipped with miso, was refreshing. Garlic fried rice was ok. Not too garlicky.

Interesting and nice food. The baby crabs were fresh and sweet, the stingray fin was interesting, the grilled squid was delicious, and the cold using dip had a refreshing tinge of wasabi.

Nice Yakitori with similar taste profile as those from Japan. Wonderful service and hospitality from the only server (Rita) when we were there. Yaki Udon was yummy too but not the Ramen. It tasted like those packet ramen sold in Japanese supermarket. Happy hour beers were attractive. Location very near Bugis Junction

Nice and quiet place on a Sunday evening. We were virtually the only customers. The yaki udon is savory, and the pork belly yakitori is nice.

Walking in feels like you're entering a nice cozy Japanese stall. Greeted by the traditional Eastern wallpapers and the modern open ceiling, this store has all the ambience you need for a good night out with friends. The cold udon was good and can be recommended, it comes with a side of bean sprouts with the faint aroma of sesame and the dipping sauce, flavoured with what tasted like ponzu and is sure to keep you going for another bite. The skewers were alright, albeit pricey but it was a good experience overall.

The ambience was nice and chill. The grilled squid was done just right and was not overly tender. Same could be said about the skewers!
