I ordered the falafel set. It comrpised of 1 pita bread, 1 plate of hummus, a salad, and 4 pieces of falafel. This was my first time with this sort of cuisine (hummus, pita, falafel). It cost 14 SGD.
The salad was rather ordinary. Cut olives in it was tasty.
Since it was my first time with hummus, I can't comment on how it compares to other hummus. Certainly didn't mind it, though. It looked good aesthetically, and I think the consistency was fine.
The falafel tasted a bit charred, in a good way. It wasn't blackened and stuff, no. I could taste a bit of..."smoke" when I bit into them. A bit crumbly, but then, I have no basis of comparison. IMO, a fine substitute for meat, with its "smokey" taste. Quite crunchy too, I liked that.
The pita bread gave it the 5 star rating. Despite the fact that I haven't eaten any pita bread prior to this, I mean, I liked it. It was served warm, powdery on the outside, very soft on the inside. I liked it a lot. I actually wished I had ordered an extra pita.
It cost 14 bucks, but given its location, and the pita bread, it might be worth it. It's abit far out for me, but if I passed by again, I'd consider having it again.
Would recommend, 8 or 9 out of 10, given the cost and location.
Best falafel and hummus in Singapore, and the pita bread tastes super soft and fresh.
We could feel the efforts and passion for natural cooking. Thanks a lot to the chef!
The food here is great and the service is awesome! Highly recommended :)
