John-Paul Fiechtner was great when he was at 13 Duxton Hill, and he's still great at Bistro November. His most amazing feat is making veggies taste good - and this is impressive, because I really do not like veggies. I enjoyed the barley porridge, the beef and the eel. Catch him before he moves again!
This is an interesting restaurant that borderlines experimental. With fermented barley with prawn essence, miso butter with amazing bread, homemade soy curd with sour cucumber (which were not sour). The experience was eye opening. Price, is affordable and I would go back again.
Dear Sally,
I want to write this to thank you and your staff for an exceptional dining experience at Bistro November on April 3. As a veteran traveler based on Bali and author of more than 20 books on Asian culture, as well as scores of articles on food and leisure, I have come to know some of Asia’s great dining places and chefs and written about them.
My decision to dine at your establishment was, in all honesty coincidental. We were hungry and thirsty and the space looked attractive and inviting. We were not disappointed. You and your staff were wonderful especially because unlike many places your hospitality was not only gracious but completely genuine, a rare and precious quality nowadays. As for the food, qua presentation, innovation, freshness, great taste, excellent value and service are concerned - it was nothing less than impeccable. You have won us both over! I will be sure to recommend you to all and many.
PS - I tried to email you but the email address on the card did nto work
