HK-style restaurant that originated from... Singapore! (Not London despite its name.)
Overall, excellent food at a fair price point.
But if you don't like fatty food, best to stay away. This is for people who like their roasted meats to be tender and succulent with thick layers of fats.
The signature roast duck has a strong taste. Skin is sufficiently crispy and the meat solid and chunky. In between, fats (yum). Good portion - two of us ordered the 1/4 duck to share.
Also ordered: char siew buns, dry char siew noodles, wanton mee soup, fried bean curd skin with prawns and mala poached pig liver. No complaints about any of the dishes.
At 8pm, service was prompt and friendly (for a HK-style restaurant). Ambience is nothing to shout about but then who really comes places like this for the ambience?
Recommended.
Char Siew, Siew Yuk and polo pao are excellent. The pepper polo bak may be a tad spicy for some, though I enjoyed it. The rest of the dishes are on par.
Food is pretty good. I like their pandan egg custard bun and their roasted meat
