First time having Shanghainese food in Singapore. It’s my first time trying such dishes, so no idea if they are considered authentic or not. Have nonetheless ranked them according to my favourite to least favourite! Pictured: - Yellow Croaker Fish Soup with Snow Cabbage 1️⃣ - Crab Meat with Bean Curd 3️⃣ - Diced Chicken with Dried Chili Pepper 4️⃣ - Sautéed Shanghai Lettuce Stem with Snow Cabbage 2️⃣

Pretty good Shanghainese restaurant with quite an extensive menu. The must orders are the vegetarian goose, dongpo rou (comes with mantou), the yellow croaker fish soup, the minced crab tofu, the claypot vege rice and also the sheng jian bao. Service is alright, but at least they do ask if we want them to portion the dishes for us such as the soup and rice.

Food is good. Having lived in Shanghai for 8 years, the dishes and taste are quite authentic. Yellow croaker soup is great, fragrant and fresh fish and the soup is so tasty, I could keep drinking. The prices are quite high though. 30 sgd for scallion noodles is really too much. Also when you come here, do wear more clothing as the AC is extremely cold… don’t understand why it has to be so cold inside a restaurant..

Refined Shanghai cuisine, authentic and delicious. For someone grew up in Shanghai this reminds me of childhood food. the pork mooncake (yes, it is a thing, a beloved street food in Shanghai during the moo cake season) is the best in Singapore, period. the service needs some work. seems to be short of staff and some are inexperienced.

My friend and I came to try after hearing some good reviews about the place. My friend is Shanghainese, so he had pretty high standards for authentic 本幫菜. Generay, we were quite pleased with the food. However, he thought the 生煎包 and 考夫 was just average compared to the rest of the dishes. I will probably come again to try the other dishes. Personally, I liked the 蔥油面.

Very good Shanghainese food. Reasonably priced considering the location is at Mandarin Gallery.

Good food and decent pricing but not in match to the service; very slow and in a weird order of veggies and meat, you’d finished the dish and wait for the next to come..
