No Signboard is a popular hawker stall at Mei Chin Hawker Centre in Queenstown. Helmed by an affable couple in their eighties, the popular braised duck venue started as a street itinerant hawker along Margaret Drive. The second venue was a corner stall at the old Commonwealth Avenue Food Centre before they were relocated to the current site in 2013. Queues are equally Long (around 30 minutes)

I have followed the couple for the past 20 years and their braised duck is nothing short of amazing. Perfectly braised, every part of the duck, whether breast or drumstick, is succulent and juicy. The old cook constantly turns the duck in the huge steel vat so that the duck gets evenly cooked and bathed with the herbal infused soy sauce.

For goodness sake, those so called top chefs at two and three hatted restaurants in Sydney including Sepia, Tetsuyas and Quay cannot even cook a decent duck. Perhaps they should pay the couple a visit and learn humbly.

The couple is well in their 80s and I know it is a matter of time they will retire. So, let’s enjoy while we can

I believe it was the best braised duck in town that I have tried so far. The meat so tender and moist with good balance of spice. The stall also serve braised pork belly, braised pig intestines, braised egg etc. You can order the rice or noodle here. The owner has been operated for Long time and old couple were managing the stall. Looks like they also won some Japanese recognition as well!

Have been patronising this braised duck stall for many many years since they were at margaret drive mkt. My family love especially the noodles and the duckmeat. The taste have always been consistent. The porridge is also very appetising. Dont go past 1 o'clock coz they are always sold out by then.

A pity that the stall will be closing permanently soon. Heard the gentleman & lady will be retiring after serving for 40 odd years. One of the best duck noodles & porridge. Suggestion to add a braised egg. Be prepared to queue up though

Haiz...they closing for good...last day 27th Nov 2019. Another 40+ years old store closing.... Ate this since childhood days at Margaret Drive! This is by far the best duck noodle. The dry version comes with almost half a bowl of gravy and the duck meat is tender!

It is good duck meal... no fancy cooking, just hardwork, great determination of 2 olds folks who keeps the stall and serve the duck for more than 40yrs. That is the taste and heart u gotta appreciate it.. if u enjoy hawker center food, duck rice, I bet you wont regret to visit this stall..

Braised Duck with Glizzards. Almost always can't avoid ordering this when I spot it being open since its manned by an old couple, recommend to order the glizzard if you have no dislike over it and do check if they have other items such as braised pork belly or offal parts when there.
